Perfect getaway location, within mere footsteps of Greektown casino. I HIGHLY recommend using the valet service, if you just plan to meander downtown, you can take the people mover to the convenient locations. Fishbones restaurant is EXCELLENT, lots on the menu. Much to do at greektown, and perfect place to stay for the RED WINGS FAN!
We've never had any issues at Greektown. Check in and check out are always smooth, just be prepared for the $100 deposit at check in (I always about it forget until they ask). Rooms are clean and quiet.
Great breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful rooms with a lot of character. Good location for WSU, museums, eats and to get into the city. Hard not to be happy just being in those spaces. Look forward to returning as soon as we can.
I was very impressed with the staff, at check in and the bar staff at the WXYZ bar...........very pleasant and professional
Oh and Janet that worked Friday night was a wonderful, she tried so hard to get into seldon select, but when we went there it was pack!
I will be returning soon!
I was in Detroit to help my son and daughter in law move into their new house. Unfortunately, as were pipe broke under their basement floor and we were forced to leave for three days. I chose the Westin because of previous stays but did not know anything about the one in downtown Detroit. We were so pleased with the hotel itself, the staff and the comfortable and spacious rooms. Our stay there made an intolerable situation into a pleasant experience.
Detroit’s metro area is home to nearly six million people. Downtown Detroit has undergone extensive urban renewal in the last 15 years. The 982-acre Belle Isle Park is a popular destination. Sports are big in the Motor City. The Detroit Tigers play baseball at Comerica Park, the Detroit Lions (football) are at Ford Field, and the Detroit Red Wings (hockey) are at Joe Louis Arena.
