I chose Westin Book for our stay in downtown Detroit when we wanted to be in walking distance to the Tiger game and local restaurants/bars. It exceeded my expectations. It is in a very nice location and was a very nice hotel. The staff were all extremely helpful and courteous.
The horror stories I read about the long check in times and bad service did not turn out to be true for us. We called and asked if we could check in late and they said no problem. The room was very nice and clean and check out was easy. Would recommend.
Loved this place. Stayed here for our anniversary and the experience was fantastic from beginning to end. The only complaint I have is that the fridge in the room took forever to get cold.
The location was great, we walked to the Tigers game. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean and the hotel was quiet.
And we loved the 12 noon checkout. Would most definitely stay here again.
We stayed for one night to attend a wedding at the waterfront. We walked to the center of downtown, to Greektown and to the waterfront. Very pleasant and easy walking. Hotel was clean and spacious. Excellent value for the price.
Detroit’s metro area is home to nearly six million people. Downtown Detroit has undergone extensive urban renewal in the last 15 years. The 982-acre Belle Isle Park is a popular destination. Sports are big in the Motor City. The Detroit Tigers play baseball at Comerica Park, the Detroit Lions (football) are at Ford Field, and the Detroit Red Wings (hockey) are at Joe Louis Arena.
