If you are in Detroit to go to the DIA, stay at the Inn On Ferry Street. A collection of four mansions and two carriage houses that operate as a bed and breakfast, it is a two short blocks walk to the DIA. The Queen Anne style brick and stucco Victorian houses are lovely and well located. A continental breakfast is included. Beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean and the houses are beautiful. The staff is first rate, knowledgeable and helpful.
Beautiful spa area, great fitness area, clean and modern, delicious breakfast at TAP. Only issue was being able to hear people across hall pretty clearly at 12am, but it wouldn't stop us from visiting again.

First trip to Detroit. Greeted by friendly, helpful staff. Room was well-appointed and perfectly clean. Didn't spend much time elsewhere in hotel, and didn't eat there, but the room and it's views of US and Canada we're spectacular.
Detroit’s metro area is home to nearly six million people. Downtown Detroit has undergone extensive urban renewal in the last 15 years. The 982-acre Belle Isle Park is a popular destination. Sports are big in the Motor City. The Detroit Tigers play baseball at Comerica Park, the Detroit Lions (football) are at Ford Field, and the Detroit Red Wings (hockey) are at Joe Louis Arena.
