"This was an adorable little place to stay! The only bad things are 1) parking is extra if there are no open spots up front which isn’t disclosed 2) there is a $66 dollar charge they add that isn’t included on Expedia. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. They also sent a ton of texts with notifications and also the property manager texting for updates way too often it felt like they were overwhelming. "

"Location in the heart of the cove is the perfect place to experience La Jolla. Our room in the main building was more than ample and we especially appreciated that valet parking was included. Restaurant is pricey but well worth the price, Just a lovely time in a historic spot."

"I am a regular at the Shores. I always stay there because it is right on the beach and well managed. The front desk staff and bellmen are so polite and helpful. The Bar is iconic with its big windows and great service! "

"This property is an oldie but a goodie. It's location is absolutely fantastic! The grounds are gorgeous. The pool and tennis courts were lovely. Our room was dated but clean. We traveled there off season so the full amenities were not available but it also less crowded."

"I need to replace where me and my pet could stay the night. This place is located right across from La Jolla Cove right in the middle of all the shops, and the hustle and bustle. My room had a balcony that gave me a beautiful view of the ocean. The room was nice but extremely tight. The bed I found uncomfortable. It was either memory foam, or some sort of sinky material. The pillows also were very squishy. The effect was like being stuck in quicksand and very very hot. I would’ve preferred a...
