Celestine Kyoto is a beautiful property however some service areas need improvement.
1. while waiting for the shuttle bus the staff pressured us that we must wait inside in the waiting room, this is not a decision that can be made from the staff, the customer can wait wherever he/she wishes.
2. the bar next to the entrance of the hotel is ridiculous, who would want to sit in such a suffocating ambiance, we tried it one night but never returned.
3. a quaint and small bar in the lobby would be a much better solution.
4. when waiting in the lobby for our tour guide, several employees would approach us to ask if we were waiting to check in, it seems that there is no communication between the staff, when one staff approaches the customer then the message should be relayed to the rest of the reception staff.
5. poor english language TV
6. sometimes communicating in English was difficult, however the staff tries to please.
