The shower was very small and hard to regulate the temperature in the room using the thermostat. Couldn’t seem to get it just right. Either was too hot or too cold. Didn’t see any instructions on to contact the front desk if needed. There was no microwave in my room. Size of the room was very nice and the staff was friendly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The grounds were very well maintained and the hotel was clean and well maintained. They were even doing some renovations of some rooms, but noise and inconveniences were minimized. The property oozes of a management team that takes pride in a well presented property. Our only two small downsides that kept us from five star ratings was minimal change up of breakfast options each day (noticeable since we stayed multiple nights) and an odor in our room that required we purchase an air freshener. The hotel itself smelled great but our room smelled of possibly fish being cooked on the stove top prior to our arrival. We will be back in Charlottesville and plan all future stays at Sonesta Suites. Thanks for a pleasant 10 night stay!
