This condo is very “tired” and needs attention. Outdoor and dining chairs are very uncomfortable as well as the bed. Linens also need upgrading. Proximity to a great beach as well as shopping and dining is excellent. Also has a nice pool.

Wonderful apartment
Nicely furnished, renovated, clean apartment in a very nice location - 2 minutes walking to the beach, and same to a large food store and South Kihei Road. This apartment is looking onto green garden inside the complex.

Perfect for a couple
We loved our time at Kathy's place. Grounds are beautiful, location is in the heart of Kihei. The condo was clean and well maintained. We would be happy to stay there again next time we are in Maui.

Kihei Garden Estates is wonderful! Short walk to the beach, supermarket around the corner and some great little eateries all in walking distance. The condo was amazing. Immaculately clean and really spacious. Had all the amenities you could need. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Beautiful home!
Me and my husband stayed here for a week, it was clean, well stocked, and in a great location. The beach is a short walk from the condo, and the pool is even closer. We would love to stay here again!

Great unit and great location
We had a great time staying at this property. The convenience of being able to walk to a supermarket is major, in addition to having great restaurants nearby. I also loved how the unit is steps from the community pool and laptop. The check-in and check-out process was very easy. Everything was perfect.

The condo was cute and clean! The location was close to a beach and close to some amazing food. It was tucked back enough that it was very quiet and did not feel busy in any way. The unit could use the attention of a handyman as some of the space was well loved/worn, but aside from that the unit was very clean and very cozy!

Everything you need in a central location
My daughter and I spent 4 nights at this property on a leisure trip. The property was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. The laundry room was nearby and only 1.50 a load. We spent all our time on the go or on the beach so didn’t use pool but it looks nice. We were able to park outside our unit. There is a supermarket right around the corner. We had plenty of water pressure and hot water. We got locked out right away, my daughter closed door with phones inside unit but Val was able to get us back in with no hassle

A wonderful getaway!
This was our second time staying at Kihei Garden Estates. First time in this unit. We loved the location and there was a mango tree right outside our lanai. We were lucky enough to enjoy a few ripe mangos during our stay. Can't wait to come back!

Lovely location/property, Disappointing Bed
Enjoyed the central Kihei location and easy check-in process, however, the bed was advertised as a KING, and was the main reason we chose to rent this unit for 10 nights! I didn’t get a good night’s rest most of the trip, and my wife ended up receiving numerous red bug bites on her torso, chest and arms, which looked mysteriously and unfortunately like bed bugs. The smell in the bathroom from a vent connected to a kitchen somewhere in the building often emitted a smell of fried fish or other unpleasant kitchen odors we did not expect. There was a toddler or two running laps in the unit above, not sure if they live there or happened to be renting the same 10 days, but it was thunderous and non-stop at night when we would return back to the unit. The community is a block from a lovely beach, however, a few homeless guys sleep there on or near the sand dunes on a regular basis and had I known the bed was a QUEEN, we never would have rented this unit so keep these things in mind! The owners were gracious enough to offer a 10% discount for the bed bug attack on my wife, however, we feel that is a little low considering the massive disappointment of the “mistake in marketing” per Rentals Maui. Mahalo!

We had an inspection done and fortunately, there were no bed bugs in the unit - the mattress even has a special bed bug cover. We were sorry to hear about the noisiness you experienced from guests in another unit. Next time please notify us during your stay if you are experiencing excessive noise so we can report it. E-102 Review: The unit was presentable upon arrival. Clean and well maintained with a comfortable home feeling. The kitchen was well stocked with the required utensils, cutlery, dishes and storage containers. The bed was very comfortable with good sheets and comfortable pillows. Ample bath towels. The furniture is old and in need of replacement especially the couch as there is no support and the cushions are very worn. The air conditioning worked well to cool down the unit at the end of the day. We found that opening the doors and windows allowed the cool evening breeze to cool down the unit as well. We discovered an electrical issue with the GFCI in the kitchen and informed the unit manager of the issue. A repair handy man was requested to come and have a look at it. It took 6 days before the issue was resolved. The lighting in the unit is very poor and made it hard to be able to sit at night to read or to eat dinner or work in the kitchen. There was almost no cooking ingredient basics left in the unit. The fridge had been stripped of everything. We have found with other units at KGE that there was always a certain amount of items left over from the previous renters to at least get us started. (I.E. condiments, baking ingredients etc.) we ended up having to buy a lot of items that were required and could not finish before leaving. We took all of our remainder items to the church across the road for use in their soup kitchen rather than the cleaners taking them or throwing them out. The beach items were limited, two chairs (One of which was not usable as it would not stay in the upright position) some beach towels, an umbrella and a couple of small mats. Over all KGE is an exceptional location for a relaxing vacation as it is close to the beach and shopping. This unit worked well for us.
