Perfect Spot and Excellent Service
Our family of four (two adults, two teens) LOVED this property! Communication from the beginning was thorough, timely, and friendly. Our host went out of her way to accommodate our check-in, making our vacation smooth and easy right from the beginning. We loved the location of the unit - literally steps from the pool and tennis courts! The pool was big and deep, which can be hard to find in Kona. The tennis courts were very well maintained and the resident professional provided lessons/drills and even found a couple of others for us to play with! A full grocery store and drug store are very close, along with several restaurants, shops (and shave ice!), which was super convenient for last-minute needed items or a meal out. The unit was comfortable, and had everything we needed including ice chests, beach chairs, umbrellas, lots of pots and pans/dishes/glasswear, and even basic spices. There was extra dishwasher pods, laundry soap, paper towels, toilet paper, so we didn't have to rush out and buy more right away. The unit was very quiet - being on the end we didn't hear neighbors at all, just the chirping of birds and the crashing of waves from the beach just feet from the patio. We hope to visit again soon!

This property was in a convenient location, with a nice ocean view from the lanai and master bedroom. Kris was very helpful and responsive and made sure we had what we needed for a comfortable stay.

Great facility. The pool was fantastic and the kids loved it. They enjoyed the tennis courts as well. The apartment itself was fine, however we didn't spend too much time inside.

Perfect find for a couple or family. We enjoyed the proximity to the snorkel bay, town, and shopping center. Friendly neighbors and visitors on property. Felt very welcome. Whale watching right outside our patio. Communicative property manager. Has everything needed for a memorable HI vacation! Would stay again.

Better Than Expected
My favorite part was the full stock of items (towels, body lotion, kitchen supplies, beach chair, cooler). Home was bigger than expected. A/C in bedrooms upstairs kept sleeping cool and comfortable. Complex is very nice, very safe. Easy check in. Amazing sunset at beach (literally steps away).

Lovely Stay
The property was very comfortable and great location on the micro and macro level. Close (not too close) to pool. We could see the ocean. Close to store and a short drive to beaches and Kona. It had everything we needed and was well stocked with kitchen needs. Neighbors were nice and overall great visit. Highly recommend renting kayaks and paddling to captain cooks monument just a bit south.

Great place to spend a week on the big island without breaking the bank. No issues at all. We were able to walk to the beach. The sounds of the ocean made it extra nice. If I had to change one thing it would be the need for AC on the 1st floor.

Great property/Great Location
This was a perfect property for us! Our family of four wanted to drive all over the island seeing as many different beaches, parks, golf courses, and other attractions as possible. This was a great home base. The townhouse was clean, safe, and well stocked. We especially enjoyed the beach chairs and pool noodles while snorkeling. The air conditioning in the upstairs bedrooms worked great and made it very comfortable to sleep. It did get warm downstairs writing the day but who’s home them? It’s Hawaii! The beach nearby was great to go out and have coffee in the mornings. Great place to stay!

The location is a little further south of Kona than we had previously stayed which turned out to be quite the bonus. There are two walkable beaches, one literally next door. The facility was lovely and the pool was much appreciated. The unit was clean and had everything we needed and the sunset views from the back deck were epic. 10/10, would recommend.

The great: fabulous location, easy check in. Good towels, soft beds, functioning kitchen and w/d a huge benefit. The meh: the sheets were scented (dryer sheets?), the second bedroom has an a/c that is so loud it requires earplugs. I'm very happy with our stay at this location!

Great Condo - Awesome Location - Above & Beyond Support
The condo was perfect for our Family of 4. Not fancy, but well stocked and very functional with a comfortable & homey feel. Location is top notch! Upscale local shopping center a block away. 1 min walk to beautiful private beach, Lanai w/ocean views & 15 min to downtown Kona. 2 steps is about 25 min, perfect to be in the water by 7:15am for a nice morning free dive with the dolphins! (Yes we got lucky and they played with us for 20 min, on my son’s very first free dive!). Chris our local contact/support is a true badass lady in the best way! We had issues with the WiFi and she was there installing a new modem within 2 hours. Had a slow drain upstairs bathroom; Chris had plumbers there and fixed in under 2 hours. Thank You!! We had an amazing time and look forward to our next visit!

Peaceful, lovely, well kept property
I spent 7 days at this property with my cousin and it was perfect for us. The townhouse with two bedrooms was well appointed with a well-stocked kitchen, cozy living room, beautiful lanai with a pretty view, great pool close by, nice beach a close walk away to bring a lawn chair and watch sunsets, a great park 5 minutes away with snorkeling & handy shopping nearby. We would definitely recommend it to others.

We enjoyed our stay at the property very much. The owner and her representative on the Island were very easy to contact and very accommodating. The location was excellent - very quiet and very close to the ocean. We also enjoyed the pool and the ping pong table. The townhome was very comfortable and very well equipped. It did get a little challenging managing the temperature without air conditioning but there are lots of fans to help and it always cooled down at night.

Wonderful Oceanfront Location in Kona Hawaii
My wife and I greatly enjoyed our 2 week stay at Sandy's townhouse in the Kona area of Hawaii. Great location on the ocean and a beautiful, well maintained complex overall. Convenient to a large shopping complex with KTA Supermarket, Longs Drugs and several restaurants with a variety of offerings. Not being in the middle of Ali'i Drive tourist district was a nice advantage as it is a relatively quiet area but just a short drive to the main area. The unit itself is very nice, clean and well stocked with "the basics" in the kitchen as well as a nice library of Hawaii travel guide and nature books. Well done, Sandy !

Lovely 2 story, 2bath 2 bedroom with both bedrooms upstairs, very close to the ocean. No central A/C but does have a/c floor unit in main bedroom, which we never used as it cooled off enough at night and used the ceiling and floor fans.

The place was at a nice location, but with no AC, it was brutal in the afternoon. You need to plan to be out of the unit from 11am until 6pm everyday.

I'm sorry you were 'HOT' in early May - it's very unusual for the weather to be hot this early in the season - this year was the hottest year on record EVERYWHERE ON THE PLANET. We're planning to make sure the AC is available in the king bedroom so that guests can nap and sleep comfortably if they decide to stay in the unit during the day on their vacation. Beautiful Property and Helpful Owner
We arrived late and realized we had no entry info. The owner was friendly and helpful even though it was quite late and she’d already sent us the info! We’d been travelling for a month with little ones and with so many different reservations we were disorganized. The townhouse is adorable, immaculate and situated in a gorgeous complex with a great pool. It’s right on the water (the complex, not this particular unit). We could walk from the patio to view the sunset every night on the dark lava rock. My only complaint was that I had booked the place because it said it had air conditioning. It did have an AC unit it one room upstairs that you needed a code to access and pay $10 a day for. It did the job for that room, although we didn’t have the code the first night, but it didn’t cool the rest of the place. For us it was uncomfortably hot and it meant driving around so our baby could nap. Apparently most people in Hawaii enjoy this heat lol!! I think the ad should be more clear as to the AC situation otherwise I’d rate the property as 5 star. Cleanest unit we’ve ever stayed in. Cleaner than most hotels too!

Fabulous location for snorkelers
The place was great:comfortable, good location, agreable resort. I’ll echo most of previous reviewers: the place is well stocked of convenient supplies and beachware; the blind-type windows does marvel to let the ocean breeze in, as well as the sound of birds and waves (no need to plug in the aircon); kids loved the pool for a quick dip as dinner was being prepared. The location is awesome for snorkelers, either from the shoreline access within the property (though surf could be treacherous) or from the nearby (but overcrowded) kanaluu beach. Sunsets are striking from the property beach access. Really had a wonderfull week.

Great spot-especially if you have kids!
The property had everything you would want - it was well stocked with supplies, the kitchen was set up to make meals, and everything was clean. It was great being a corner unit so there was a little "yard" area where we could sit outside and walk around in the yard. The condo is right near the pool, which we went to almost everyday. We have a toddler and the zero entry pool area was amazing for her to be independent in the pool. Right across the parking lot (about twenty yards), you can go and sit on the rock wall and drink your coffee in the morning and watch the ocean waves. There are beach chairs, boogie boards, beach toys, towels, and beach shade things to use. There is a little beach about 50 yards away that you can go explore. It's near Kahalu'u Beach and the location worked out well for us. The owner was super helpful and communicated with us whenever we needed anything. The only think I would let you know is that if you go in the summer months, it does get hot. I am personally OK with hotter temperatures so it was fine, but most properties in Hawai'i do not have AC. There is an AC unit you can use in the master bedroom for a small fee if you absolutely need it. This condo had everything we needed and more - will definitely be back here again in the future when we come back to Kona!

Plenty room for the 3 of us. Very hot 87 some days. Portable air-conditioner upstairs but extra charge if you use it. Need a better house cleaning service. Beautiful sunsets, beach, and walk to best snorkel beach on the island. Very friendly owner.

I know you said it's your last time to Kona but if you do come back I'd be delighted to have you and would welcome any direct feedback on housekeeping so I can follow up specifically; I haven't heard any negative comments about current cleaning person but I'll double check anyway. And, yes, we do charge extra ($10 day ) to cover air-conditioning - it's crazy expensive to use electricity in Hawaii and folks typically leave AC on without worry so we just want that expense to be optional and covered when desired by a specific guest only. Perfect holiday get away
The location is perfect. The club is near a lovely reef for snorkeling or surfing and there is a grocery and drug store a very short drive (or more ambitious 15 minute walk up hill). The unit is close to the ocean and pool at the same time. There are bbqs very close by as well. The unit is well stocked with laundry soap, dishwasher detergent, paper products, linens and your first pot of kona coffee. A second full bathroom is really helpful if your groop is more than two people. I was confused by the windows (like some of the other reviews) but if you close them while you change it’s privacy glass. I enjoyed waking up to the morning sunshine and we kept them open most of the time we were here so we could enjoy the ocean breeze. The complex should probably replace the doors. They certainly have seen better days but I am guessing that’s a condo board decision. It certainly wouldn’t deter us from staying here again. We are very happy with our choice and if you stay here we expect you will be too.

Everything you need for your stay.....
To preface this review, understand that during our stay, the temperature was in the upper 80's and low 90's with high humidity. Pros: 1) fully equipped kitchen, including more than adequate dishes, pots and pans, utensils etc., 2) wonderfully comfortable king size bed with sumptuous sheets, 3) great bathrooms with thick towels, hand towels and shampoo, rinse, etc., 4) nice lanai area for enjoying the sound of the surf while enjoying dining, 5) very large washer and dryer, 6) pool just steps away from the unit, 7) a great sunset view just steps away, 8) really nice Welcome basket, including coffee and candy, 9) comfortable seating in the living room, 10) amenities like a cooler for the beach, beach chairs, noodles for the pool, mats and umbrella for the beach, and a great tour guide for the island. Cons: 1) no air conditioning and no breeze, so when it's 85 to 90 degrees outside, it's stifling in the unit and 2) no window coverings on the upstairs level or in the kitchen, which pose a real privacy issue when it's hot and dark outside and the windows need to be open. It's rather hard to get out of the shower or change clothes without being on display.

I've also followed up about getting some window coverings....our repeat guests each year requested NO window coverings - they love the views and light and don't feel exposed in any way but I want EVERY guest, new and 'old' to feel completely comfortable. Very nice!
Super clean! Close enough to the ocean to hear the waves crashing onto the beautiful, rocky shore and also benefit from the breeze. The whole complex is very clean and quiet, too.

Wonderful Week
Great complex! Perfect location in Keauhou! Wonderful unit! Booking was easy and Sandy is always fantastic to work with. Though we've stayed at numerous locations around Kona/Keauhou, once we found this unit and worked with Sandy to insure our vacation was stress free, this has become our only choice when we visit the Big Island.

The swimming pool (not heated) setting is relaxing. Owner is very helpfully and responsive. The only concern is if you have seniors or little kids, need to be very cautious as the stairs are little bit steep. No bleach is used for towels, so they could be off white, if you have concerns, you may bring your own.

Thanks, too, for being such extremely responsible guests - we very much appreciate the wonderful condition in which you left the condo - it was obvious that you are most respectful of other people's property. I'm sure you're home must be impeccable! I'm glad you mentioned the stairs, too. We encourage guests to be cautious at all times and use the handrail for added precaution. We're very happy that the stairs have never been a problem. We don't have bleach in the unit for guests only. We hope to help avoid bleaching 'accidents'. The towels are actually supposed to be a creamy color (not white) but I've checked and, unfortunately, they seem to now be a cross between dirty and off white. I guess I either need to go full white on the towels (which I don't like) or just go for a fuller, brighter color (versus the creamy white). I smiled when I read your description...they are supposed to be NOT be white but off-white is not the color I want either. Again, much mahalo for staying with 'me' and for being amazing guests. Nice Landing Pad
Nice garden townhouse with a partial ocean view. Nice location as an end unit. Ample amenities in the home. Did not have any diffiencies. Pool is refreshing after being on a beach all day. Didn’t really hang at the home much as we were out every day. I would stay here again.

Very nice place to stay
We stayed in Townhouse 59 during Ironman World Championship, where I participated. The place was very clean, nice and big. We liked it! Communication with Sandy and Jeri worked also well.

Great location and host!
We spent 6 nights at the townhouse. It was very clean and quiet. We loved hanging out at the spacious pool in a warm day. Well stocked kitchen with everything we needed to prepare a meal. Nice shopping center and snorkelling nearby the complex. We had a great encounter with turtles at the turtle beach. The property owner Sandy and on site manager Jeri were super helpful to ensure our stay was pleasant. We truly enjoyed our time here.

Great accomodation
Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay. The facilities at the KKS&R club are great. Clean, tidy, secure with lovely gardens. Pool is excellent. The condo is well equipped with everything you need. We cooked our own meals most nights. We loved listening to the surf crashing. The location is central for exploring the costal areas. You really do need your own transport. We initially found it a bit confusing driving around the area and coming from Kona airport but you soon get the hang of it. Local shopping centre for groceries etc. is near by. Resort town and beaches close enough to access by car for shopping and cafes, swimming and snorkelling. My only negative would be the upstairs section which is where the bedrooms are located gets very warm in the afternoons and stays warm into the evening. There is a portable air con in the main bedroom but is extra charge and only somewhat effective. Some block out blinds to keep room from heating up might be helpful. The stairs might be a problem for senior people as a little steep and tiled. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and the area is definitely worth a visit.

Kona Surf and Racquet Club - a perfect place for a family to visit the big island
Our family spent 6 nights in the condo and really loved it. The place was clean and very functional. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, knifes, etc..., the lanai was a great place to hang out when not hanging out at the pool. There is great snorkeling was within walking distance and other sights were nearby including a good grocery store. It was very quiet at night and a place I would definitely return to.
