It was exactly as portrayed: an historic (and idiosyncratic) small inn/hotel; not fancy, very straightforward; on the water in a wonderful location; a great kitchen punching way above its weight. "Nice friendly check in, room was lovely with a nice view to mallaig. Food was excellent and reasonably priced as was the wine and lager ( a pint for less than £4 😁).
