“Heather Woodland Luo”
Overall great hotel experience, but my husband and I were in HK only for the weekend. I went to a recruitment fair and he did some shopping so we didn't spend a lot of time in our room. Easy to find from the subway, clean, basic needs met. It was all we needed. Beds were rather hard though.
“Great for the cost-conscious who want cleanliness/efficiency but without the unnecessary extras”
Excellent place to stay if you don't need unnecessary extras and oppulence. Very good value hotel at North Point on Hong Kong Island with excellent transport options on the doorstep. Small but modern and clean rooms. well maintained, with fridge and coffee/tea making facilities. Restaurant serves buffet breakfast and a variety of meals throughout the day, all at very reasonable prices. Evening set menu (choice of around 6 dishes) is especially good value with soup and unlimited juice/tea/coffee. Free internet in the lobby. Excellent public transport. Right next to the A1 exit at North Point MTR station (15 mins to Central, 25 mins to Kowloon) and right across the road from the North Point Bus Terminus (A11 Airport bus runs every 20 mins and takes about an hour door to door - could not be more convenient). North Point Ferry Pier is there too but not much use to the tourist because it runs to Hung Hom and Kowloon Old City rather than the main Kowloon tourist areas at Tsim Sha Tsui, but the MTR is quick and you can get to Star Ferry at Central easily enough for the harbour crossing. Also the starting point for the 63/65 bus which goes direct to Repulse Bay and Stanley on the south side of HK Island. This is an excellent choice for the mid-range traveller who wants efficiency and good standards at a remarkable price. This was my first stay and I shall definitely use it again in future.
“HK for 1wk, this is one of the places to stay”
The rooms are small for western standards, but that was alright since I only used it to sleep. Location wise, it is fantastic. Right next to North Point MTR, and the Ferry Station is just across the road if you feel like a boat trip. I would recommend the Harbour view rooms, even though the rooms are smaller, the view is like "wow"! You could see towards the Kowloon side and even watch the boats go by. Beds are ok, little harder than what im used to, and room service always leaves your room looking good as new. Would stay there again, If your wanting to have a holiday in HK, and your primary Language is English, Staying in Hong Kong island side is recommended, and Ibis hotel North Point would be one of the venues i would be looking into
“convenient, affordable and clean”
It was very close to the subway station. North Point Subway Station exit A2 is the closest. The staff was very friendly and could speak English well. It's 3.5 stars so don't expect 5 star rooms. The rooms are very small, but very clean. I really recommend this place if you're not looking for resort to stay, but looking for a convenient, affordable and clean hotel. Really good for people that stay out all day sight seeing and shopping then come back to sleep.
“Highly Recommended”
Extremely convenient due to close to MTR, room cleaning up everyday and staff are friendly. Highly recommended.
“Great value, great staff and great location”
My second stay at the Ibis North Point and every bit as enjoyable as the first. the hotel is excellent value for money and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are on the small side, which is to be expected in Hong Kong, but are perfectly adequate and spotlessly clean. The location of the hotel is ideal, right opposite the main bus terminus and next door to North Point MTR station. The area around the hotel is not a tourist haunt, but is completely safe and very interesting to walk round. Prices at restaurants are extremely cheap and the food is great.
“Excellent value budget hotel in a great location”
If you want to pay top whack for a swanky hotel in the centre of the main tourist areas, don't use this hotel. However, if you want a good value "budget" hotel, next door to excellent transport links and in the heart of what feels like the "real" Hong Kong you couldn't do much better. The Ibis is a fairly basic no-frills sort of hotel, but that is not to say it is in any way deficient. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the location is great. The buffet breakfast is very good value at $55. I had a harbour view room which I would recommend, though I did have to be patient waiting for the lift to take me up and down 29 floors! The local area is not a tourist haunt, which is why it is so interesting, and there are loads of really excellent restaurants where a meal with drinks will only set you back about £15-£20 for two. North Point MTR station is next door and the bus terminus is opposite - $40 direct from the airport on the A11 bus. I will definitely book this hotel on my next trip.
“Good priced clean little rooms.”
The hotel was very nice and clean. The front desk staff was very nice and caring, and communicated well, and wanted to make sure everything went well. The room was a good price for the size. The bathroom was nice too, with a good shower. The bed was quite firm, but maybe that is normal. It is right next to the MTR station, so it is easy to get anywhere. Front side has view, back does not. The A/C was nice to come home to after a long day.
“Way to go”
Located opposite the bus terminal and jetty, the hotel is in a convenient location - also only 3 doors away from the MTR subway. The Chun Yeung local markets are just around the corner - for the first-timer, this can be an eye-opener. A very clean, modern hotel, compact and courteous staff. Recommended.
“Convenient to MRT”
The hotel was nice and clean it's located really close to the North Point station MRT. The rooms are small but clean.
