"This was our 5th trip to Costa Rica but our 1st stay in this area. We thoroughly enjoyed our month at this villa and the entire Bahia Pez Vela Resort. Our villa was exactly as advertised and the minor issues that did arise were quickly addressed by the owner and the resort office and staff. The check in process with Caesar and Jacki was very easy and welcoming, they were very helpful during our stay. All the details of our booking were accurate and taken care of. Our villa was very clean and had all that we expected and needed for our stay including a great gas bbq. The pool at our villa was excellent and cleaned on a very regular basis by pool staff. Howler monkeys were heard and seen most days. The grounds of the resort are stunning and well taken care of. The beach is a very secluded cove with great swimming and snorkelling. We saw many tour operators pick up their guests right at the beach. The common pools are fantastic and easily accessible. The restaurant poolside at the beach, Soluna, had fantastic food and is a great option. Drinks were a bit pricey but very good. Staff at the restaurant were super friendly like all the staff at the resort. It is a 5 or 7 minute drive to Ocotal Bay (Father Roosters) and another 7 minutes into Coco for more great restaurants, bars and grocery stores. Bahia Pez Vela is at the end of the road which allows it to be extremely quiet, secure and private. We certainly hope to return."

"What a lovely vacation at Villa Toucan. Jackie and Cesar were very friendly and accommodating. The air conditioner broke and was replaced the same day. The owner of the property was also very prompt to respond to our inquiries. We used local taxis to get to Coco Beach for grocers and some meals. Walking is virtually impossible given the hills and heat. The location is extremely peaceful and we enjoyed sitting outside to bird watch. The beach truly was the highlight for us. We did some snorkeling and saw plenty of fish along the rocks that surrounded it. It was perfect for swimming and had a sandy bottom. This is our 4th time to Costa Rica, we love the local people who are so friendly."

"We loved our week at Hacienda Diamante! First of all, if you rent a car, heed the warnings about needing an SUV. While we didn’t have to use the 4 wheel drive, getting up the very steep switchbacks to the house is a bit harrowing. However once you do, it is gorgeous. The view is stunning! We also loved all the wildlife - we had an iguana who hung out on the roof all week, green parrots in the trees, hummingbirds and dragon flies. We loved watching all the crazies doing the Superman zip line right by the house. The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable and all rooms had their own AC. We hung out in the gorgeous pool a lot. Meals were easy, we just told Nicole what we wanted for dinner and the next day’s breakfast each day. She also shopped for snacks and drinks each day. If you have a day to do so, have Nicole arrange a boat charter. We had a blast doing that! We would definitely stay here again!"
