"On way back to Oslo .. ran into this wonderful hotel by accident, so to speak... absolutely amazing. Wonderfully designed, modern but traditional concept, very cool architecture that actually feels like a ski hut type of setting. "Location, the hotel and staff were great however the first night, the temperature in the room was approx 26oC due to fault with the heating, so we had to sleep with the windows open. Reported to reception, but they couldn't do anything until maintenance came in the morning. The following day, there was no hot water for the shower and then this happened every morning until we left. Occasionally it came through, so we had to have a very quick shower."

No offer of ski lockers, ski passes, spa info etc. Dining room has amazing views but again no attention to detail. Eg.. ordered a dessert for sharing & it arrived with no plates, no cutlery. You have to ask for absolutely everything which I wouldn’t mind if I was in a low budget accommodation which this is not. I would stay...

We had booked horseback riding through the providerer recommended by the hotel. We received no confirmation email and no instructions of where to go. "Overall a good place to stay. Clean room, easy to find, free parking, great view from common areas & breakfast sunroom. The property is a little older but it's well kept. Some updates like a tv or a mini fridge in the room would have made our stay just a little more comfortable. Even just an ice machine accessible to guests would be great. The breakfast was good. Great cheeses, breads, jams and coffee options although the smoked salmon was a let down as it was much too thick."
