Not sure why people rate this hotel as high as they do, but we are seasoned travellers with high expectations. Firstly, the young woman at the front of house had the friendliness of a turnip. We did get the free drinks but it was of no use as the restaurant next door was closed. The hotel’s walls are filled with mediocre cowboy art at outrageous prices. (The bronzes are nice). We appreciated the secure parking provided (it was what made us choose the hotel over the Gibson, which is far a far superior hotel, in unfortunate hindsight). The room is tired. Industrial floooring, an old tired bathroom with 2 minuscule towels, questionable shampoo and conditioner, and rags for face towels (they looked like they’re to wipe the floor from the open shower concept where the water floods the floor. Lighting was not all working. The hotel bed was fine but the pillows were 12 x 12 inches. Really odd. Late check out is frowned upon (it was a Monday and the hotel seemed deserted) but we managed to wrangle an extra 30 minutes more. Nevertheless, cleaning staff tried to barge in the room beforehand (thankfully we had the door lock in place). We will definitely book at the Gibson in the future unless this tired hotel gets new staff and does a full renovation.

Though our themeing may not be to everyone's liking, we are sorry for the issues that affected the quality of your stay, and we are always happy to try and find guests a more suitable room if they like. We try our best to have our restaurant hours public and available at all given times and we are working on a solution to give guests those perks outside of opening hours. We would also ask for understanding on days which though we may not appear busy, we may have additional issues or high volume of rooms to clean and late check out requests cannot be accommodated. They were not helpful in parking for trailer. We had to call manager from bar to even check us in. No refund even tho they said they would help.

We are sorry that we could not work out a parking situation for your trailer--as we are downtown, we do not have space for larger vehicles in our designated parking areas and this does leave parking options somewhat limited for trailers. Initiating refunds on the hotel's side through this system is a longer process, but you should now see a full refund soon if it has not already arrived. Please feel free to reach out to us by phone or email if you continue to have issues and we will try to get them resolved directly.

Great historic hotel. It was a bonus that they had a parking garage as we had bikes on the back. Good pub restaurant attached to the hotel. The hotel was also very accomodating as our dates were mixed up. Got that all sorted without problems. Overall, excellent stay.

Beautiful, unique and quiet hotel, full of history. We had a large king bed suite with three separate areas- kitchen/entrance, bedroom and sitting area with pull out couch. Our suite did not have windows but a skylight at the top of the vaulted ceiling in the sitting room and no doors between rooms. Lots of local art hanging in the hotel and hallways, some for sale. Breakfast in the attached Irish pub was self serve, frozen frittata or breakfast burrito that could be heated in one of the two microwaves, coffee, tea, juice, bread and jellies for toast, hard boiled eggs, mini muffins, yogurt and milk. We were able to enjoy a nice walk on the nearby trail adjacent to the Missouri River. Would definitely stay again

Great little hotel! So quiet! Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved all of the artwork throughout the hotel. FYI, the Celtic Cowboy is not open on Sundays but neither are most restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

The only place I’ll stay here!
This is my favorite hotel whenever I come through Great Falls! It’s cozy, quiet, and the rooms are dark and comfortable. It’s convenient having a fun vibe next door with good food at the Celtic Cowboy too.

I really liked the location and ambience of the hotel. The art work on the walls is a must see. The breakfast is really great. The Celtic Cowboy next door is a cool pub.
