    Montana Hotel Guide

Previously among the most mysterious of the the western states, the state that's called the "Big Sky Country" has become one of the favourite vacation destinations of both U.S. citizens and visitors from other lands. Montana has no true major cities, and most of those who fill the rooms at Montana hotels aren't interested in exploring city life anyway. They are there for the mountains, pristine rivers, lakes, wildflower-laden alpine meadow,s and views of the big blue sky. For this reason, prices at hotels in Montana tend to increase the farther away you get from the few city lights that exist. Budget-minded tourists frequently find cheap hotel deals in Montana cities and pack picnic lunches and dinners for day trips to the forests, lakes, and fields.

Billings is a popular city for those who want to explore the eastern part of the Big Sky Country and book Montana hotel packages for themselves. The nearby Big Horn River is known as one of the best fly-fishing destinations in the American West, and opportunities for fishing are available from March through November. The small community of Fort Smith, which is outside of Billings, is where most fly fishermen look for Montana hotel deals. Some of the top luxury resorts in the state can also be found in this area.

Except for those who go to the Big Horn River for fly fishing, most of the visitors to Montana prefer to remain on the west side of the Rocky Mountains. Missoula is a quaint little college town where it's possible for student travellers who come to participate in outdoor recreation to get discount rates at local hostels as well as special prices on Montana hotels.

Examples of the type of outdoor recreation that can be found in the Missoula area include mountain biking, hiking, boating, swimming, fishing, and camping. Many of those who make reservations for a cheap Montana hotel deal use their rooms as a base camp for exploring the state. Because Montana receives an abundant amount of snow, winter sports are also a huge draw for visitors to hotels in Montana as well.

"Fantastic views, close to everything "
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during our honeymoon and had a great experience. The front desk staff was great and were helpful in suggesting restaurants and helping us get oriented with the area. We had a gigantic corner room with mtn. views-I was so impressed that I actually sent a picture of it to a close friend. For the rate we paid, the room size was an unexpected bonus! Hotel is within walking distance to shops, restaurants and activities. Tons to do in the area-even in summer. We used Big Sky as our 'base camp' while visiting Yellowstone-the distance was a little further than expected, but you can't beat the views along the drive up. We will absolutely recommend this hotel to family and friends. Hope we have an occasion to come stay here again!

    "Cozy"
The room was not very big but had all the necessities, frig, microwave, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, and blow dryer. The bed and bedding were great. The hot breakfast was very good. Tub drained a bit slow, one light burned out over vanity. Majority of room was very clean but they need to pull bed away from wall and vacuum. Cost was definitely a plus.

Loved the room! The breakfast was awesome. I thought it was a real bummer that they did not have any handicap accessibility. My mom had a really hard time climbing the two flights of stairs.
