Great amenties but
When you're spending over $5xx bucks for two nights, you expect the bed to be restful. We barely slept for 8/9 hours over two nights as the mattress definitely needs a change. My hips were in pain when I woke up. The pillows were completely worn out. I realized later that there were two more pillows that might have helped. Moreover, the smell on the extra thin blanket was awful. Lastly, the main blanket was super thick, and never found the right balance to sleep. We were either too hot in it or too cold in it. We should've gone to a motel or something to use other amenities like the sauna (which was uneven, so you have to keep switching around). Overall, it was not worth it at all. The kettle and the hairdryer were helpful. There's no cooking range, there was an electric cooker and olive oil if you want to cook anything. The fridge was cute however, I wouldn't put groceries for more than a day or two, as it is small and not powerful. The room and outside area had different temperature control systems, which was great to have too.

When it comes to guest expectations it’s hard to know how much they read up on the website to be more informed. We have a kitchenette which is for simpler meals and others have had good experiences. I’ve had nothing but compliments on sleeping, the mattress & overall guest satisfaction. I don’t agree with any of his complaints which is easy from a distance. Nothing was said giving us a chance to solve personal issues. It’s not an accurate assessment

Lovely Cozy Getaway
The Cozy is quiet, clean, and comfortable. Rae is very friendly and we had a restful, lovely weekend getaway.

On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and the place was quiet and dark allowing us to sleep in. The bathroom was very nice with a great steam shower. There was a patio with a barbecue. On the negative side, the directions were poor and Google Maps did not get us there. Fortunately the host called when we didn’t arrive when expected and directed us in. Our initial impression of the property was not good as the grass was not cut and the property looked unkempt. The sheets were not fresh smelling when we arrived. There was only a very heavy duvet on the bed with no top sheet. We did find other sheets and a lighter blanket thrown (not folded) in the closet and these required laundering. Fortunately there was a clean insuite laundry. There were also no sheets to fit the pullout although the ad said the property sleeps 4. We found a dirty frying pan in the drawer and the knives were very dull. Overall, we would rate it a 6/10.

Property not as private as what we imagined. Suite is downstairs from owner with the stairs blocked off. There is a rental in the front, which you share a wall with and they have the front part of the house. Sandwich in the middle you can sit out as everyone using the property walks by. Walk to the beach is also fairly far. Would have thought it was closer

Nice relaxing stay in Gibsons
The property was nice and the suite was beautiful. We played pool and lounged in the steam room when we weren't doing hikes or exploring the shops of Gibsons. Rae reached out to us to see if we needed anything,but we had everything we needed. I am sure that if we needed anything Rae would have been able to provide it. Unfortunately we didn't have time to check out the walk to the beach,but we will do that next time we come!

Restful time!!
Very relaxing time, quiet and restful. So nice to sleep with peace and quiet as we are used to city noises. Yesterday was cool, as we stepped outside our door came face to face with a friendly deer. Tough to find as need more specific driving directions to find location.

Perfect little Getaway

Blissful relaxation
We absolutely loved this place. I don’t know that we’ve ever had such a deep peaceful sleep! Spacious, clean, cozy suite. The steam shower was incredible. After 3 nights we really didn’t want to leave!

Great weekend stay
We had a lovely stay at Rae's property in Gibson! The place was great, had outdoor furniture for your morning coffee while listening to the birds, pool table was fun, the bed was very comfy and the steam shower was just a delight. Overall everything we were looking for. Thanks!

Loved our stay and we will be back! Cozy place nestled away. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed close by hikes and some restaurants/breweries. Rae was a friendly and helpful host and was quick to respond via text. The place has a pool table which was fun and a great steam shower. Beautiful and clean!

Rae's suite is warm and inviting, as well as himself as a host. The only thing missing is a bit more lighting on the pathway to the suite but overall we enjoyed our stay. The steam shower is a huge selling point, and many games of pool were had!

Rae was pleasant and helpful, gave us a great tour of the property and directions to the beaches and walking trails. The place was super cozy for our November stay and we really enjoyed the steam shower and fire place. Great spot and easy to get to town but far enough away to have privacy and enjoy the tranquility that Gibsons has to offer.

Perfect for a short stay!
There were a lot of unique features to this affordable and comfortable property! We thoroughly enjoyed playing pool, relaxing in the steam shower and watching movies on Netflix. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very quiet. We loved being able to sit outside on the patio in the mornings. Rae gave us a great recommendation for dinner and was available for any questions that came up. I am used to having a cheat sheet with how to use everything at these types of rentals but we were able to figure everything out with rae’s help. This is a great space for 2 people.

Cozy yet Chic
We loved staying here! The place was so cozy and spacious. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! And of course the pool table was an excellent touch. You’re just far enough Away from the roads that it feels like your in the middle of the forest. Sat outside every morning enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Had a very relaxing stay! Highly recommend.

From start to finish my stay was delightful. The suite is uber charming well appointed and beyond comfortable. The steam shower is to die for and the owner was most excellent. I will certainly be visiting my new friend Rae in the near future.

Rae was a great host to work with, excellent instructions on how to get to the property, checking in, amenities and giving us a quick tour of the suite as well. Prime location and great view of the Gibson’s Bay Area. No issues whatsoever. Thanks again!

Interesting spot
The place was good for what we needed. Close to downtown and grocery stores/coffee shop as well as some beautiful beaches. It’s super dark inside the suite which made it easy to sleep for long periods of time which was great for us, but if you’re wanting to have a sunny bright place this is not for you! The property around the suite is being worked on so has a lot of construction materials. It’s also not super quiet as there are other suites on this property and above you and you can definitely hear them. Also, maps doesn’t give proper directions as you have to enter from the back of the house. It’s probably a better spot for a short stay if you’re not spending a lot of time in the place.

March 29 stay
We booked Rae's property as it was close to everything we needed. The apartment was spacious and provided everything we needed. The area was secluded and quiet at night some made for a restful stay. The only problem we had was finding the place as it is a bit off the beaten track. Would recommend clearer instructions on the site or even a small map. If we get a chance to be in the area again would certainly stay there again and we would heartily recommend it. Rae was a great host. Cheers. Anke Walker.

2019 Ladies Weekend
Our arrival was late because of work schedules, our host, Rae called us to check to make sure we weren't lost, it was very dark, not a whole lot of street lights. Once we arrived he gave us the tour. Our accommodations were cozy and comfortable, had everything we needed. Woke up the next morning to birds singing which was a beautiful welcome. Rae was gracious enough to lend us a bbq the following night for our spur of the moment decision on dinner! Great accommodations for 4 women chilling for the weekend THANK YOU Rae! Would totally recommend this cozy stay.

Beautiful location and property! Host is a super-friendly awesome guy too. There are neighbors beside the unit (detached) who offer homemade veggie and vegan meals for a nominal extra cost which I highly recommend, our was amazing! I'd recommend reaching out to the host before arriving to get directions as the Google Map location is not accurate.
