The property was lovely. Great location overlooking the Loire River. Audrey was wonderful when we checked in. She helped us get a dinner reservation for our first night and we were able to walk. Wish the restaurant had been open, but that can’t be helped. Breakfast was delicious on property. We felt like the wines in the bar were a little overpriced based on what we bought from the local vineyards. Lovely area to visit. Everyone we met were very friendly.

It changed ownership 6 years ago and this was my first visit since the change. It has lost some of the family charm, the menu is smaller, the house wine is now from Bordeaux from the owners vineyard and the internet in the bedrooms was inadequate. The stay was everything you expect from a four/five star establishment and the staff were of the correct calibre. The food remained exceptional. I probably will not be returning but would highly recommend if you want a romantic or peaceful weekend. The views over the Loure remain stunning.

Very nice and historic property with a great view. The restaurant is not open several days a week which was a downside given the remoteness, which left few options and made the place seem overly quiet. The staff were very very friendly and accommodating.

From my experience, the hotel doesn't quite live up to its billing as a 4 star property. (i.e. wifi totally unreliable, hair dryer wrapped with electrical tape and not working, leaky shower plumbing, dangerously slippery bathtub, peeling paint in the bathroom). The site has a spectacular view across the Loire but the property needs some upkeep. The saving grace was the staff who dealt with clients' concerns cheerfully and efficiently. Plus the housekeeping was top-notch.

This was a lovely experience. The setting is amazing. The staff is great and the breakfast on them terrace overlooking river was wonderful!

Beautiful AND affordable chateau!
The Chateau Le Prieure was an absolute dream! Very beautiful and an affordable price as well. The staff were friendly and the chateau is in a good location near town and a short drive to several wineries in the area. We would love to go back one day!

Exceptional location & experience
The stay was a very delightful experience. We were taken to our rooms by the receptionist and she explained all that we needed to know. The location gave views over the river valley. Breakfast on the terrace was great. The breakfast was of good quality and plentiful. The rooms were very comfortable. Although the heat wave temperature was high the rooms were cool. Overall a great experience.

Hotel is located high above the river valley. You must try the restaurant, the view resembles cruise ship. Decor a bit regal, but it fits the setting. Friendly staff can advise on activities. Biking is a great option. For the soul there are many historical chapels, for the body there are wine caves.

Breakfast to improve
Stay, comfort, shower and suite were great. Breakfast expensive reasonable (not great but just ok). No bottle of complementary water in the room (and rates of this hotel are not really cheap right). Furthermore, charming hotel and we slept very well.

Our family of three enjoyed our overnighter at the Chateau very much, and we send our compliments to the chef, who made us an outstanding meal. Breakfast was a treat too!

Fantastic location and setting. Food and restaurant service was excellent but hotel service lacking. Seemed to be short staffed. Breakfast unimpressive. Rooms are impressive but need some attention to detail for an up-market Hotel. eg. no plugs near mirrors, hairdryer cord too short , TV located in unwatchable position.

I confirmed them for late checkin. But they didnt answer the telephone on the other side even they knew it. Room seems to be clean, I saw dead insects and small insect and old spider web. Out side looks wonderful, But I don’t want to be here again.

The hotel staff and restaurant staff were excellent. The property overlooks a picturesque view of the Loire Valley. The location is close enough to visit a handful of châteaux in a couple of days. It’s a great deal for the price.

Amazing beautiful place!
Amazing castle, most elegant place I have ever stayed for the exceptional low price. Dinners were amazing and Frank, our waiter and other wait staff were exceptional. We hope to return some day and spend more than 2 nights as much to see in the area.

The hotel was beautiful and the service was impeccable from the time we arrived. Dinner was lovely as well. Our room was warm and cosy and extra heaters was used to make it warmer. I would definitely visit again.

Good Location in a Hotel With Character
Great location as a basepoint for visiting the Loire Valley chateaus and vineyards. A little far from places like Chambord though. The hotel was nice and had a feeling like staying in one of the chateaus. As such, there was a little musty smelling but the hotel was clean, with a large room and nice views of the river below. Ample parking. The breakfast included was very good compared to my experience with most French breakfast buffets. Staff all spoke English fairly well. We had dinner the first night we were there which was a nice experience. The presentation was very good, but the food itself was just above average. The bonus of having a small refrigerator in the room was nice. Although it's used for the minibar, there is a little more room to pickup some small items from a local grocery.

This place is amazing and was the highlight of our trip to France. The staff placed us in the top room in the Château with a balcony looking over the Loire valley. Web site photos do not do justice to this amazing view.

Famille TUCHE ne pas choisir cet hôtel .....
L'endroit est magique ... mais ... mais ... mais ... ne pas tomber avec une famille "Tuche" à vos cotés car l’insonorisation est quasi nulle ! Quant à la publication sur Hotel.com elle est mensongère , car il n'y a pas de piscine et le mini golf il ne faut pas oublier ses clubs et sa balle. En revanche le restaurant est vraiment au TOP ainsi que le personnel .

Pourquoi pas, pour le lieu.
Juste une nuit etape et un dîner au restaurant de l'hotel . La chambre (suite) etait immense et la literie tres confortable. La propriété parfaite. Par contre l air passe a travers les fenêtres simple vitrage et sans les convecteurs d appoint nous aurions eu froid.... Le repas était correct mais pas de choix et beaucoup trop cher! Le site est tres beau. La deco melange de "chateau", imitation Empire et kitch chinois......sans commentaire.....😱

Concernant les fenêtres d'époque, celles-ci n'ont malheureusement pas de double vitrage et nous mettons des radiateurs d'appoint à disposition dans les chambres pour palier cet inconvénient.Concernant le repas, il s'agit d'un restaurant gastronomique. La carte présente peu de choix, car elle change chaque mois: notre Chef n'utilise que des produits de saison, naturels et régionaux.
