“Cruz stay”
Even though the pool is kinda small it is a very comfortable place to stay. Being across the street from the ocean makes up for the small pool. The room was very nice and clean.
“Great location, housekeeping needs to step it up”
Excellent location. Walk out the door, cross the street, and in less than a 5 minute walk you are on the beach. This motel is located on the town line of Ft Lauderdale and Lauderdale by the Sea. 8 blocks to the right is the public bus stop @ $4 day pass you can go many places. 10 blocks to the left is Lauderdale by the Sea where there is plenty of local touristy shops and a great selection of restaurants. The beach is unsupervised, so not the best for small kids, but great for couples, singles, and anyone who wants a great beach day. No beach rentals available so be prepared to bring your own chairs, etc. This hotel has a great pool, inexpensive great cocktails, so/so free breakfast, tile floor in the rooms (no damp carpet smell), and a friendly staff. The room could have been cleaner and the daily housekeeping was lacking. Overall a great stay, great location, and we would stay again. Two single ladies, mid 30's, had a great time. Cab ride around $25 from FLL if you tell the cabbie to take the big bridge and to NOT take the highway. Nearby bank is Bank of America. Nearby chain is Dunkin Donuts, Mc Donalds, Dominos. Great sushi at The Grille in Lauderdale by the Sea=1/2 price happy hour. yay! This motel has a great little restaurant for burgers and fries and ice cream, reasonably priced. Jan's candy shop is approx 4 blocks and has homemade fudge and chocolates with free samples! We stayed the week of June 20, 2011 for reference.
“Perfect for a weekend at the beach”
I work In Ft. Lauderdale every weekend and wanted to bring my teenage grandkids down for one weekend. This motel was great , they could walk from the room across the street to the beach. Rooms were clean , staff was friendly and helpful. For the price I was pleasantly suprised at the condition of the rooms. I had been willing to give up quality for the convenince of the kids being able to walk to the beach, but it turned out we gave up nothing. Looking forward to bringing them again.
“AWESOME!!!”
We were pleasantly suprized on how nice the hotel was for the price. We just needed a clean place to sleep. Well it was very clean, large room, with tiled flooring, right across the street from the beach! Front desk was nice, we had daily cleaning service from housekeeping. Pool was clean and well maintained. The area was really nice also. The only thing was that the beds were to firm for my likeing, and they also had a plastic liner on them that would make you sweat. I plan on going again in the future.

Scereny enjoyable.REALLY enjoyed the TIKI BAR!~! Room spacious and clean.Front court very inviting, all well cared for!
“birthday getaway”
The hotel was what you should expect for the money. This may not be the most family friendly place, as there is a pool side tiki bar that is open til 2am. So people are out and music is playing. Everyone was friendly. We had no problem with it being too loud, but it may not be for eveyone. The room was big, clean, bug free and the AC worked well. It is a short walk across the street to the beach and a longer walk to the pier for shops and restaurants. The food at the hotel cafe was good and affordable. Would definately go back.

“Fairly Nice Hotel”
This will do the job jf you don't want to go broke.The staff are very friendly. What I didn't like was the plastic on the bed and the water wasSO HOT you could scold yourself very easily But I would stay there again Have a GREAT Day Arlene
“Ft. Lauderdale Mini-Getaway”
Room was bigger than expected...Very clean and quite comfortable...I would definitely stay there again...

Parking was the only pain in the butt, not a truck friendly lot. Around the back, VERY TIGHT getting in and out....Other than than that, great stay !
