La ubicación es bastante buena, ya que la misma calle te lleva hasta il Duomo; estos días están arreglando y complica un poco pero fuera de eso bastante bien 10 minutos a la Catedral y 20 a la terminal de trenes caminando

The owner is a delightful young florentine man ready to help out with any request including restaurant recommendation. The Hotel is super clean occupying the top floor of a very central building literally around the corner from the Galleria dell’ Accademia.

The hotel itself is very nice and looks recently remodeled. Breakfast is offered right next to the reception and has good offerings. Building access is easy although it is up some stairs (55 or so). Rooms are clean and updated, but a bit on the smaller side. The location is about 5 minutes from the Accademia dell'Arte (David statue) but 10 to the Duomo. Food options are also about 5 minutes away and increase as you get closer to the Duomo area. Overall nice hotel on a quiet street, but a bit out of the action so be comfortable with some walking.

We booked here at about 10 minutes notice after being let down by an Airbnb. The hotel is lovely, very clean and comfortable. The staff are really nice too! Would recommend.

A nice homely hotel, lovely staff and perfect walking distance to the main square etc. Only thing it was missing was a little outdoor terrace which would give it 5 stars across the board!

We loved our stay at the Boutique Hotel Hugo. This place was so charming and also comfortable. Staff was very nice and helpful. We left for exploring too early to enjoy the breakfast, but the breakfast area looked very nice. We would definitely stay here again!

A brilliant little hotel
We had a fantastic stay at Boutique Hotel Hugo! The location was great, just 10mins walk from the Duomo but quiet at night. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Rocco and the staff were really welcoming and breakfast was very nice with a selection of pastries, savoury sandwiches and good coffee. The hotel is up a couple of flights of stairs, so I couldn't recommend it for anyone who might have trouble with mobility, but it was fine for us and Rocco helped us with our suitcase when we arrived. Overall, a perfect base for our trip to Florence!

The room is cozy and nice. The wifi was great and fast. However, the wall was a bit thin so I can hear a lot of “stuff” when there are people next door. Also, for some weird reason there are many mosquitos in my room. Otherwise, my stay was very pleasant and comfy. The guy at the front desk was absolutely amazing. I would stay there again if I visit florence again.

Hotel Hugo was perfect for our 5 night stay in Florence. Our room was clean, spacious and the king size bed was very comfortable! The breakfast served each morning was delicious with pastries and cakes. Rocco was very helpful with suggestions on where to eat and visit and was very pleasant to us each time we saw him. The hotel is a 15-20 minute walk from the train station and Duomo and the Galleria dell'Accademia is just around the corner. There are many food places nearby (we really recommend Antica Trattoria da Tito and Pucinella Pizzaiolo next door to it). Overall I would really recommend this hotel, it was very basic but theres so much to see in Florence you'll barely spend any time in the hotel room!

Rocco went above and beyond during our stay. When we left the keys inside our room at 2:30 AM, he still picked up the phone and came to let us in. What a live saver! The breakfast here was great too. I would highly recommend Hotel Boutique Hugo to anyone looking for a place to stay in Florence.

The hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the breakfasts substantial and delicious. Rocco was an outstanding hotel manager, making himself available as needed to his guests and really making every effort to go above and beyond in helping us feel welcome and comfortable. I would only look at the Hugo if planning a return trip to Florence.

Great Hotel - would go back
Hotel was well positioned , make sure you check out parking if you are driving to Florence due to the traffic restrictions etc . The hotel offers two options. Would have been better if there was a constant presence on the reception desk but not sure if this was due to COVID - the bar/ breakfast area wasn’t open at all but the hotel was clean quiet and comfortable - just keep in mind there is no lift and three flights of stairs to carry your bags up.
