Beyond the property itself, which is great, the Hilton footbridge to the shopping center across the street is very convenient. Having easy access to Carrefour and dining options other than those offered by the hotel was something we appreciated.

A great property, but the pool is not clean (as others reported). There is a great slime in the water. Also, they wouldn't give us early check-in, as our flight arrived at 4am.

The hotel is clean and not crowded. I have only 4 star to the facility since the room that we stayed in had a musty smell- like when clothing are NOT dried well. Maybe they can have a better ventilation or air freshener installed. The tub in the bathroom is a hazard not only for older people but also for all . The in is so high that you need to climb over with a possibility of slipping. The pool bar service was very slow. They claimed that it was a holiday in Tahiti and most staff were off. Otherwise our stay was good for the purposes of our short vacay…

This hotel is probably one of the best Hiltons I have ever stayed in. Handy for the airport (just 10 minutes and $20 ride - no shuttle). Great pool, bar, etc, and whole lobby area is fantastic. Unfortunately it is not a destination hotel such as those in Bora Bora, but more a place to stay in whilst in transit. Not much to see or walk to unless you rent a car to explore further afield. However, top marks for Hilton to have such a great hotel with well trained staff, great service and such a beautiful facility.

Our first visit. Nice vacation spot. Umbrellas by pool difficult to move. Ask for help. Slick, slippery surfaces around pool. Staff was very helpful. Nice restaurants, Nice market across the bridge. We will return.

Property was nice for an overnight layover to Bora Bora. Only negative was that it took way too long to check in because the people ahead of us were being very chatty with the staff member.

This hotel is close to the airport and many guests seemed to be using it as a stop-over before or after a cruise. The facility is nice but dated. The Italian restaurant was mediocre and overpriced. The breakfast buffet, which is not included in the room price and expensive, was adequate but closes promptly at 10:00am. Nice pool, no usable beach. Overall an adequate choice as a stop-over in Papeete but not a great destination in itself.

The best aspect being the outstanding staff, so friendly and helpful even if not entirely knowledgeable in minor matters (where to find traditional food -the market!; where to find sunscreen - free at the pool!). The property is very nice, with lots of different facilities and beautiful grounds. We chose an ocean view room and the view from the balcony was spectacular! Elevators arrive in 5 seconds. There were a few nights of live music for entertainment, but I wish they had Tahitian dancers, had to go elsewhere for it. There were some things that affected our comfort. Frosted glass panel between bathroom & bedroom shed too much light in the middle of the night when your partner uses the bathroom it lights up the room! Pool umbrellas are too small, only one to two lounges, and vented letting in brutal sun all day, making it necessary to move your lounge or umbrella around frequently. Was told by one staffer not to move umbrellas, ignored her after she left, canNOT just sit in the sun! Dead fly in the bathroom upon checking in, didn't pick it up partly not to touch it and partly to see what would happen, it was still there the next day and the day after. No washcloths two days. No TP one day - had to go ask for a roll. Set in an industrial area, though we only ventured out by taxi. However, there is a shopping center just over the pedestrian walkway. WiFi is only for "Honors" members, which is ridiculous. Every hotel and motel offers WiFi these days, what's wrong with HIlton?

We didn't stay at the Hilton Hotel Tahiti but I still wanted to thank them. Due to flooding in Tahiti, we canceled our stay at the Hilton and the Hilton was kind enough to refund our pre-paid booking. Other hotels on Tahiti weren't so kind and we had to forfeit our pre-paid bookings.

The Hilton isn’t a massive hotel in rooms, guests or grounds. The pool consumes most of the grounds. They offer several restaurants and all of them were good. Snorkeling tours pick you up at the boat dock on property. It is close to the airport but noise isn’t a big issue. The hotel needs to offer more events. They offer no traditional Tahitian dinner show or other entertainment options. If you want a quiet, comfortable hotel to relax & forget about life for a while, this is the place. Good internet access but plan for a VPN if you plan to watch Netflix, YoutubeTV or other streaming services limited to the US. *** No beach access *** we rented a car for a day & visited some black sand beaches. We also went to the local museum & tried some local restaurants. Really enjoyed our stay. If your flight leaves at night, consider using the lounge - at an extra fee - between checkout and flight departure.

The property seemed well-maintained, and extremely comfortable for my husband and I. We stayed here two days before we left on a cruise. Restaurants were delicious. Staff was wonderful and it was just so nice to be able to kick back and relax before we left on our cruise.

Pros: staff were amazing. The property was nice and clean. Food options were fare and pricing what you would expect at a resort. They exchange currency at the hotel. Cons: no airport shuttle. I'm not sure why. The taxi was a better economic choice and easy to get from the airport but there is only one road and in the morning the traffic was so bad that even the metered taxi ended up being expensive.

We spent a few days at the end of our trip at the Hilton in tahiti to meet up with friends who were traveling to New Zealand. This experience was a little sour compared to the one night we stayed before heading to other islands. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful, but checking was a little unorganized. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived so we got everything taken care of and were told to just come check back in an hour or so to get our keys. We ran a few errands and returned to ask for our keys and they tried to have us go through the entire check in process again. Not a big deal, but it was hot and we were meeting friends and needed to get to the room and freshen up. We met our friends down at the pool for a few drinks before dinner and the service was non existent, and rude when they finally acknowledged you. Since we had friends we booked the one bedroom style with a kitchenette and dining area and larger living area, but these rooms were at the very opposite end of the property, also not a big deal, but we think because the room was so out of the way our room wasn’t cleaned or coffee items restocked even when we called to ask for them to. There was also a sewage smell that started taking over the room after the first day. We are not generally the type to complain, but it just kind of put a damper on the last few days of what was an overall amazing trip. I will say, the local staff (Ori and her crew) were above and beyond, but others not so much.
