Great Hotel on our Ireland TripPosted 2-Jul-2014
Pros: Close proximity to the highway made it easy to get out and begin each daytrip.
Cons: Nothing. I have nothing bad to say.
Location: Dublin, Powercourt Gardens and Waterfall, Glendalough, The Ring of Kerry, Waterford, New Grange, ......
The Lucan Spa Hotel made our Ireland trip unforgettable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was huge, a great way to start every day. The pub food we ate late in the evening was equally delicious. Best Pizza in Dublin!

Stay at The Lucan Hotel end of May 2014Posted 1-Jun-2014
Receptionist very efficient , polite and helpfull . Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast didn't start until 7 at the weekend but they put breakfast up for us at 6.30 am. All staff polite. A great place to stay particularly if you are sailing or flying from Dublin. It take about 25 minutes to Dublin Port from the hotel. I think the great receptionist was called Shannon. A special Thank You to you.

Pros: The staff
Cons: A lot of updates to the room
While the staff were friendly and helpful, the bathroom was so small you could use all the appliances at one time. The location was quite confusing to get to as well even using a GPS. Don't get in a hurry to take a shower either, the water pressure was so low it took forever just to rinse shampoo out of your hair. The TV only had about 6 channels with a couple of those being repeat, the remote did not work either.

Friendly, homely hotelPosted 21-Mar-2014
I would recommend staying here. The staff at reception are very helpful when it comes to local information. The hotel is very welcoming and quiet - even though there was a wedding reception going on - I did not hear anything. The staff were also very helpful, in that I left my phone charger behind, and they sent it on to me straight away, which was great. All in all I have nothing but praise for this hotel.

close to motorway and easy to get toPosted 29-Jan-2014 on Hotels.com
The room was very small and in the old part of the hotel, it felt we were away from the main rooms in the hotel. The staff were very nice and friendly .

Worn hotel with friendly staffPosted 21-Jan-2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Leixlip and the bus stop for the airport is only a short walk. The hotel is old and worn; the beds are a bit soft, but the pub has a nice atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a great bargain and the pub food was decent, so if you don't care about modern or fancy, this is a good buy and comfortable stay for a night or two.

Nice hotel close to Dublin and right off highway.Posted 17-Nov-2013
Cons: Bathroom needed updating.
Location: Dublin was very close by.
Breakfast was great every morning. Staff at breakfast were wonderful. Front desk were helpful. Room was perfect size for the three travelers on the trip. Bathroom could use a little work. Manager assured me in response to my comment card that the bathroom was set for an update. The location of the hotel was great. Only 15 minutes from Dublin. Loved the charm of the inn and pub.
