Staff absolutely fantastic.....shame the hotel is stuck in the 70's when it was rebuilt. Don't think its been touched since!!!. Got moved rooms as first one had shower missing!...replacement room not much better...it had a shower that threw out water in every direction apart from the one it was supposed to. TV the size of a laptop screen...very hard to watch. As said staff very nice and help full and food was OK. If the owner reads this - spend some money and update your hotel......

Great Hotel on our Ireland TripPosted 2-Jul-2014
Pros: Close proximity to the highway made it easy to get out and begin each daytrip.
Cons: Nothing. I have nothing bad to say.
Location: Dublin, Powercourt Gardens and Waterfall, Glendalough, The Ring of Kerry, Waterford, New Grange, ......
The Lucan Spa Hotel made our Ireland trip unforgettable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was huge, a great way to start every day. The pub food we ate late in the evening was equally delicious. Best Pizza in Dublin!

Stay at The Lucan Hotel end of May 2014Posted 1-Jun-2014
Receptionist very efficient , polite and helpfull . Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast didn't start until 7 at the weekend but they put breakfast up for us at 6.30 am. All staff polite. A great place to stay particularly if you are sailing or flying from Dublin. It take about 25 minutes to Dublin Port from the hotel. I think the great receptionist was called Shannon. A special Thank You to you.

Pros: The staff
Cons: A lot of updates to the room
While the staff were friendly and helpful, the bathroom was so small you could use all the appliances at one time. The location was quite confusing to get to as well even using a GPS. Don't get in a hurry to take a shower either, the water pressure was so low it took forever just to rinse shampoo out of your hair. The TV only had about 6 channels with a couple of those being repeat, the remote did not work either.

It was ok but the room I was in could do with being panted properly and the shower was small as I am disabled there was no one to help me upstairs my bags and it was impossible to get in the shower had to struggle with two bags

They couldn't do enough for us.Posted 7-May-2014 on Hotels.com
The people working in the hotel were so lovely, the food in the restaurant was all fresh and so good. Lovely bar area with such friendly staff too. My daughter of 21 years found a nice crowd there too and we had a twin single room that was comfortable and clean. Mixed aged crowd there but all so nice and warm. The surrounding area was a bit motorway ish, but we had family collecting us each day as I didnt drive over there. So that wasnt a problem for me. The family had a christening party there which was lovely.

We had a lovely two night stay at the Lucan Spa. Lovely hotel, choice of breakfast was very good, location was excellent and staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. One of the nicest hotels we've stayed in. Would recommend to friends and would definitely stay again!
