Not as good as last time
I booked a twin for myself and my daughter as she had a hospital appointment in Dublin. What i got was a double and when i asked to be moved they said they had no twins left. There was also no room service menu in the room so i had to go down. I also got an unscheduled wake up call at 7.15am asking if i was looking for a hair dryer. NO, no i was not. On the plus side, the bar staff were excellent.

weekend away in dubin
Long weekend in dublin. Great stay and friendly staff. Shower temperature was a little temperamental on the first morning which may be down to number of hotel guests at weekend. Overall very good experience.

nice hotel with a convenient facility
The hotel is suitable for the business trip and leisure.. It is not too far from the city with a convenient route of buses. Very specious rooms and very comfortable bed. The restaurant offers variety of meals and a generous 15% discount for residential guests. Car Park and wifi internet are offered free of charge. Moreover it closes to the big convenient store, Tesco Express.

Convenient to the airport
This is a nice hotel, good sized rooms, nice bathrooms, clean with great staff and a delicious breakfast. There were some water pressure issues, however, I think if too many showers are running there can be a problem. I stayed two nights and it was a great price.

Great place to stay
This is a great hotel. Clean and kept up. Very friendly customer service. We stayed two nights as a quick get away before we moved on to the UK for work. Cabs are VERY expensive so one of the things that makes The Ardmore nice is the bus stop located directly in front. I have found that most of the beds in the many hotels we have stayed at are a bit stiff for my taste but comfortable enough for the price. However IF you want to be in the mix of it all this is not the hotel for you. BUT if you like being just outside it really is a nice place to stay and the bus ride is very easy.

Quite new, a 15 minute bus ride to centre
Pleasant staff, clean, good and safe underground parking. One complaint: no alternative to thickish duvet which we found too hot.

OK place, nothing special
Stayed there a night before flying out from the Airport. Set me up with a great taxi for E19. Taxi driver was the coolest guy I met in Ireland telling me jokes and stories.

Fantastic
brilliant hotel in everyway! Staff were very helpful, hotel was nice and clean, food was lovely in the cafe. Only thing i will say the room was a lil hot for my liking but easily fixed by leaving the window open and also as a coffee drinker the coffee in the cafe wasnt very nice but overall i enjoyed my stay. I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

Out of the way
We heard they are planning to close this hotel. They put us in a room with windows to the street and we were unable to sleep well. Closing the window didn't make a difference. Finally, on our last night we were able to move. Small room, but clean. Breakfast was so-so. Front staff didn't seem to be that knowledgeable. There is a bus stop across the street, but the return bus stop is about two blocks away.

Great place, affordable and clean
I really enjoyed my stay here. So many great things to say. First, very affordable. Yes, it's outside the city center, but 2 different buses takes you directly into the city for 2.60 Euro's each way. In 10 minutes you will be right in the center of town. The rooms are clean and spacious. We had breakfast once and i believe it was about 9 euro. It was a good breakfast. Nothing fancy! What i liked best was that staff was friendly and helpful. We went to London for 3 days and only took our carry on. The hotel staff was nice enough to hold our huge suit cases for us since we were coming back to the Ardmore again after our return from London. They were always willing to answer questions and did so with a smile. I did have wifi issues on our return stay but to me it was not a big deal. If wifi is important to you, i recommend you try to get signal as soon as you get into the room , before unpacking, and make sure you have a good connection. Enjoy Dublin.

Nice hotel but out of the way
I stayed for 3 nights in August 2014. The hotel was clean and comfortable but a bit out of the way. That being said there is a bus stop out front that will take you to downtown Dublin. I found the washroom rather odd - no shower or tub, just the shower head and a curtain, which is fine but the drain couldn't handle all the water and the whole bathroom flooded everyday.

The hotel staff are extremely welcoming. The hotel itself is spotless and decorated well, the room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. It is situated in an ideal location very close by to town. I regularly stay in this hotel due to exceptional standard of the hotel and staff

Wifi didn't work which would stop me going back. Normally travel for business and good reliable wifi is critical. Didn't call down as I assumed no-one at reception would have been able to resolve.

Perfect for what we wanted and needed!
I booked a room for my better halfs 40th birthday present as we had both never been to Dublin. I chose the hotel because it looked like it was half way between Dublin airport and the city centre ... and it was! The room was lovely, the staff were really nice and their knowledge and great manner has already lead us to recommend the hotel to friends (we only got home this morning!) Breakfast was lovely and reasonably priced 9.50Euro for a full buffet, tea and juice. 10 minute bus ride into town but have the right change!!!! There is a freedom card which allows you to travel on the sight seeing tours, local bus and airport bus which we didn't know about but it was 2.60 for a single to town so not too bad. The only downside was the noise. The coaches in the morning were outside our window and although we were on the 4th floor, it was really loud! The walls are also quite thin so you can hear everyone getting up, going for a pee, getting locked out of their room ... not quite what you need after a night out in Dublin. Long a short of it is, great hotel, great staff and great facilities if you want somewhere to eat and sleep ... will definitely be back! Thanks for a great weekend.

overnight stay
We used the hotel for an overnight stay believing that it was close to the airport as we had an early flight. The hotel had no shuttle and the buses don't run by so we had to get taxis. The person at the desk told us that the taxis had a cap of 19 euros but we were charged 22 for the cab ride to the hotel. We asked for a wake up call at 5:30 and ordered a cab for 6 but the only call we got was when the taxi was waiting at 6:02 so we paid 27 on the way to the airport. we hadn't expected to pay an extra 50 euros for a cab to bring us to a hotel that was "close to the airport". Disappointing.

Good place to stay for a night or two
The room was always clean, beds were always made, floor vacuumed and room tidied. The bathroom was a great size and fresh towels and toilet paper were refreshed daily. The bed had no sheets, just a comforter, and the room had no air conditioning. Was very hot and hard to keep cool. Wifi was good, above ground and underground parking was free.

Reasonably Priced, Decent Location, Great Staff...
I was so pleased with my stay. The rate was so reasonable. In the United States, you would never find a room of this caliber at this price. The room was larger than I expected as well and very clean. It was also in a good area. The staff were wonderful! They were all very cordial, helpful, and compassionate. I would like to especially thank the staff and management at the Premier Bar and the Cream Restaurant. The food was excellent, the service was great, and they made me feel so welcome. The Premier Bar's daily specials are not only delicious but a very good value. You will get plenty of food and not go hungry. The presentation is beautiful as well. I would recommend this everyone wanting to visit Dublin, Ireland and needing to do so on a budget. The 140 bus is right outside the hotel and the 40 bus is a little further. What a great experience I had. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. If I am ever in Dublin, Ireland again, I would love to stay there again. Hope you will too.....

Cheap and cheerful
I stay here regularly when visiting friends in Dublin. It's always a pleasant experience. The food has improved dramatically over the past year. Would definitely recommend eating in. Secure parking in the underground car park, free Wi-Fi, comfy bed. What more could you ask for at the price?

The food wasn't great. The breakfast pastries were of poor quality. The hotel staff were courteous, the room was clean. The hotel is relatively convenient to downtown - there's a bus stop across the street. To get to and from the hotel, one needs a taxi - approximately 20 Euro.
