Disney Dream Cruise Guide

Disney Dream is the third ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet and is considerably larger than the first two ships, Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, and is more advanced than before. The art pieces onboard, termed Enchanted Art, are actually framed LCD screens that recognize when a guest is present, activating several seconds of animation in the picture. The handy “Wave Phones” in every cabin can be used to call or text other passengers or youth staff onboard. A highlight of the ship is the AquaDuck, which is the first-ever water coaster at sea, that takes you all around the ship through a 765-foot tube. At night, be sure to grab an early seat to the onboard musical rendition of “Beauty and the Beast,” which is a Disney Dream exclusive.

Staterooms

Disney Cruise Line staterooms are equipped with innovations like childproof locks and safety rails to ensure the safety and comfort of guests of all ages. The Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms with Verandah allow you to have your own sanctuary at sea. Equipped with comfy patio furniture, you and your family can order complimentary room service, and watch the sunrise or sunset from the privacy of your own stateroom. The staterooms onboard the Disney Dream feature little Disney touches, like a mural of Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Wendy and her brothers that is revealed when the upper-berth bed is pulled down.

Onboard Activities

Disney Cruise Line provides children with an easy way to meet all of their favorite Disney characters, who typically hang out around the Atrium and D Lounge. At the D Lounge, you can also find an assortment of daily activities, from Disney trivia to animation classes. Sea days are always full of fun and surprises onboard the Disney Dream. Outside you'll find the AquaDuck, the first-ever water coaster at sea, as well as a children's pool area, and a separate adult-only pool equipped with hundreds of lounging chairs. This ship also has a Goofy-themed mini-golf course and a sports court. In the evening, be sure to participate in the popular "Pirates of the Caribbean" party - a sing-along deck party complete with singing, dancing, and a guest appearance from Captain Jack Sparrow. Then be sure to end your night with a bang with classic Disney fireworks. It should also be noted that due to the family-friendly nature of the ship, there is no Casino onboard.

Dining

Onboard the Disney Dream, you can rotate between three main dining rooms every night: Animator’s Palate, which is an interactive dining experience, the Enchanted Garden, inspired by the gardens of Versailles, and The Royal Palace, inspired by Disney Princess films. There are many options for mid-day snacks as well, like the Senses Juice Bar for vitamin-infused smoothies, Vanellope’s Sweets & Treats for unique desserts, and Flo’s Café for casual eats like burgers, pizza, salads, and more.

Bars & Lounges

The Disney Dream features over 10 different adult-only bars and lounges, making it easy to try a wide assortment of drinks and mingle with the other adults onboard. Currents is the breezy open-air bar, located by the adult-only pool where you can sip on a cocktail and enjoy views of the seas and catch the sunset. For a chic sky bar, check out Skyline, or for a sports bar atmosphere, there’s Pub 687 – a Disney Dream exclusive. Evolution is the nightclub onboard, that offers adult entertainment like nightly dancing, games, karaoke, comedy and cabaret.

Entertainment

The Disney Dream is the first to debut the musical “Beauty and the Beast,” a 70-minute live adaptation of the classic musical film. This innovative musical uses high-quality puppeteering to bring popular characters to life, like Mrs. Pots and Lumiere, and giant LED walls to transport you through the story. This show joins the lineup of innovative Broadway-caliber shows onboard the Disney Dream, like The Golden Mickeys and Disney’s Believe, which is a heartfelt tale of a daughter and father who are brought together through the magic of Disney songs.
