Disney Fantasy Cruise Guide

Sister ship to the Disney Dream, the Disney Fantasy offers numerous activities for kids and adults alike including Broadway-caliber live shows like “Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular” and character greetings with Mickey Mouse and friends. Take part in Star Wars-themed stage-shows and interactive activities, like the Summon the Force Show, Jedi Training, and a night of fireworks at sea set to John Williams’ Star Wars score. Guests of all ages can enjoy the pools and waterslides on board, like the AquaDuck water coaster, or compete in a 9-hole Goofy-themed mini-golf course. Adults can unwind at the 18-plus Quiet Cove Pool or book a massage at the Senses Spa, while little guests ages 3 to 12 can sip tea with their favorite Disney Princesses at the Royal Court Royal Tea, a fantasy-come-true!

Staterooms

Disney Cruise Line staterooms are designed with families and comfort in mind, with lots of room for storage and kid-friendly amenities like childproof locks. There are plenty of options, from the economical Inside and Oceanview rooms that sleep 3 to 4 guests, to the more spacious and luxurious Verandah and Concierge suites that can sleep between 5 to 8 guests. The Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms with Verandah allows you to have your own sanctuary at sea. Equipped with comfy patio furniture, you and your family can order complimentary room service, and watch the sunrise or sunset from the privacy of your own stateroom.

Onboard Activities

There’s a lot of interactive fun onboard the Disney Fantasy, with trivia competitions, character meet and greets, karaoke, family arts and crafts, and a Midship Detective Agency scavenger-hunt style game featuring the Muppets. This ship also has a variety of outdoor activities, like the unique AquaDuck water coaster, the 765-foot tube that transports guests all around the ship. There’s also a 9-hole Disney themed miniature golf course, and a variety of virtual sports simulators where you can play basketball, football, hockey, soccer, and more. Adults can relax at the Senses Spa & Salon and book a massage for two in a private Couples Villa or relax at the 18-and-older Quiet Cove Pool. It should be noted that due to the family-friendly nature of the ship, there is no Casino onboard.

Dining

Disney’s rotational dining program brings a unique spin to the traditional set-seating dining style seen on most cruises. Every night you eat at the same time with the same servers and tablemates, but you alternate between three main dining restaurants: Animator’s Palate, Enchanted Garden and the Royal Court. There’s also a variety of casual dining options like Cabanas, Flo’s Café, and Eye Scream. For an additional fee, Palo offers Northern Italian fare, and a champagne brunch on sea days. Disney Fantasy also offers a private cooking class for guests ages 18 and up at the Palo restaurant. This is limited to 8 attendees so make sure to reserve your spot in advance. If you’d prefer to dine in the comfort of your stateroom, 24-hour room service is available and is included in the price of your cruise.

Bars & Lounges

Europa is an adult-only district on the Disney Fantasy, with a variety of European-inspired bars and nightclubs, including Ooh La La, La Piazza, O’Gills Pub, Skyline, and The Tube. Ooh La La is an elegant Champagne bar – an ideal spot for a romantic date night. For a taste of London, hit up The Tube for a British-mod nightclub, inspired by London’s Underground subway system. For a more relaxed vibe, the Meridian lounge, which is situated between the adult-only restaurant Palo and the luxurious Remy, features ocean-view seating and serves a large selection of beer, wine and mixed cocktails. For daily family-friendly fun, there’s the D Lounge, situated on deck 4, which hosts all-ages dance parties, bingo, and karaoke, and serves up alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages like sparkling sodas and fruit smoothies.

Entertainment

Disney Fantasy is the only ship where you’ll be able to watch the live-action show “Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular”. This high energy live performance features plenty of new and original tunes and is perfect for guests of all ages. This ship also features a Star Wars Day at Sea, available on select 7-Night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises. This day-long adventure is packed with entertainment, from a Summon the Force Show, to interactive Jedi Training, and some epic character experiences and photo sessions with major Star Wars characters.

For an added fee, you can also book sessions with a personal trainer or nutritional consultant while onboard.

Edge is the special lounge and activity center created just for tweens ages 11 to 14, with photo booths, gaming consoles, karaoke machines, and a colorful dance floor. The “It’s a Small World” nursery, hosted by Huggies® provides childcare for youngsters from 6 months to 3 years old.

Onboard Shopping

Sea Treasures and Mickey’s Mainsail are the Disney Fantasy’s onboard gift shops, selling a variety of accessories, travel essentials, and exclusive Disney Cruise Line merch. For luxury goods and shimmering timepieces, stop by the ship’s Tiffany & Co. or White Caps. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a popular spot amongst little guests, offering a complete magical makeover that will turn kids into their favorite princess’, knights, pirates, or sea captains.
