Stayed here for 2 nights. Lovely central area around the hotel. Our room was somewhat basic but functional and comfortable. I bet the rooms with the balconies would be beautiful. The breakfast was great and filling. Lots of choice for everyone, I think. Overall, I'd come back here in a heartbeat if I ever come back.

what a delightful spot, right in the center of everything, ferry and public beach within 5 min walking, great dining in the area and a lovely staff. we had a room with a little balcony and it was just perfect. very quiet at night and nice breakfast on the terrace. the 2nd floor terrace was also a quiet delight. thank you

Friendly staff, great area. It’s a bit of a walk from the train station, but only a few minutes by taxi. The buffet breakfast was nice (and included!)l I don’t think we could’ve asked for a better placed hotel. Tons of eating options and the Lake is basically steps outside the door.

Loved everything about this place. Wish we could have turned the air conditioner down a few degrees. There are steps within the room that could be a challenge. Staff was incredible and had wonderful recommendations on restaurants. Would stay again anytime!!!

Fantastic location, fantastic staff.
Fantastic service from all the staff in the hotel, they were all very friendly and very accommodating. Room was great and location was absolutely stunning. Would highly reccommend and i know that we will definately be back for a longer stay next time.

This hotel is a very pleasant property. The communication was excellent. All staff members very exceptionally friendly and helpful. We appreciated their attention to the smallest detail. We would return to this hotel without hesitation. The selection for the breakfast was very good. The hotel is close to the harbor and many restaurants.

We were going to stay here in the summer of 2020 when….well, you know. Even though at that time I did not get the free cancellation option through Expedia, I contacted the hotel s when we could not go and they refunded the cost with no issues. Well, we finally got to Italy this and booked with the hotel again because of their generosity and professionalism. Needless to say they were great, and tremendous value for a spectacular location. Great service, warm and welcoming.

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, we were made to feel welcome from arriving to leaving. The rooms were well appointed and serviced every day. The Terrace overlooking harbour was a perfect place to relax. The position of the hotel is excellent, in the hub of Desenzano surrounded by a plethora of restaurants and cosy bars. I cannot recommend this hotel high enough. We will be returning withy a doubt.

Excellent position for ferry point, lovely view from front of hotel where we sat every morning for breakfast. Breakfast was a good selection, fruit varied every day. Weather was great when we were there which makes all the difference. Had a slight issue which was dealt with promptly by Alberto. Good air con. Lovely upstairs terrace to sit at and watch the world go by, you could buy drinks downstairs. Would stay here again.

Just returned from a wonderful week at the Hotel Piroscafo and we can’t recommend it highly enough! The location is absolutely beautiful overlooking the harbour. The hotel itself is immaculate and the staff are all fantastically helpful. For me personally as a coeliac, I really appreciated the excellent gluten free breakfast options which set me up for the day. I’m sure there are many great hotels in Desenzano, but on our next visit there will only be one place that we want to stay! 😊

Perfect location
We needed a central base for short break. It was perfect for Ferry and Railway station. The views stunning. Everywhere was clean, people friendly and helpful. Bars to eat and drink watching the world go by.

service could be better
Great position in centre of town. in probably the very best part. Room adequate but a hard bed making for our worst stay in 6 weeks in Italy. Breakfast quite good and housekeeping good. Like all other hotels, restaurants, cafes etc, I’m afraid the Italians come over as unfriendly. They have no interest in making themselves pleasant. At this particular hotel, a man whom I assume is the manager, as he processes checkouts seems the worst. (Other staff at this desk at other parts of the day are better. ) A corpse would seem more lively. A big improvement here would percolate down through his staff making for a more pleasurable workplace, happier customers and perhaps even some gratuities! Smiles dont cost much.

Very nice hotel
Everything was good about the hotel - wonderful location, good service, great breakfast. The only thing I would recommend to change in the room by in which we stayed is to remove the mantle above the bed board. One can easily bang his/her head - so it was concerning.

This hotel is almost perfectly located for a vacation around Lake Garda. A 10 minute walk from the rail station and 2 minutes from the excellent ferry station to take you to locations around the lake. The hotel itself is very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel in the heart of Desenzano
Great position in the heart of town. A bit noisy after midnight - but we were staying over a holiday weekend, and it didn't really bother us. The local restaurants were excellent, and the hotel was close to boats. Reception staff were very efficient and called a taxi when we left. Recommend highly
