The renovations were really good to update amenities while retaining the character. The bathroom soaps/shower dispensers were a thoughtful touch, as was the bottled water cooler. The bed was comfortable and the room was a good size. Unfortunately the room faced the street and it was very noisy late into the night.

Convenient location and rooms renovated. Bed was poor but highlight was pub below- service and food as good as anywhere- but this establishment will cut into your sleep plans

Nice set up albeit an old building. Really comfy king bed, nice bedding, towels, coffee cups, wine glasses. It was record breaking cold when we stayed so the windows and the area around the window were cold and drafty. Tucked the drapes in which helped. The cable TV didn’t function and we wondered if someone had pocketed the HDMI cable? Contactless check-in still experiencing a few hiccups but understand it’s a project in progress. We had drinks in the pub on premises before and after a dinner out and a theatre show. Again the extreme cold made that space pretty cold as the door opened frequently. Great fries!

Short stay in Cranbrook.
The Baker Hotel is a great place if you are not looking for fancy. It is practical. Because it is a Heritage Hotel there is no Elevator, just stairs. We are in our 70 's, we made out fine. The Bed was good, there are places to eat in the Hotel or nearby. Would stay here again!

The bed, bedding, and pillows were extremely comfortable. The electrical outlet for the kettle and coffee maker didn’t work, so I had to boil water in the bathroom. There were no tea bags and not everyone knows how to use a coffee pod machine.

Room was clean and comfortable. Had to park in area across from hotel so were glad we had rolling bags. We travel with a white noise machine so noise wasn’t an issue for us but would have been without it. Would stay again.

This property is so noisy. When we were in our room we thought the window was open because we could hear people talking from the street- plain as if they were in our room. The windows are paper thin and so are the walls. We both had ear plugs with us and that didnt help. A group of people were in the hall at 1am being loud and obnoxious- they went to a room not far away and we listened to them laugh and be loud for about 30 more minutes. We finally fell asleep and 2am came...another group of people came to our wing and did the same thing. There is no one working the front desk after 10. We should not have booked this hotel- I think it would be better for younger people on a budget who dont care about getting much sleep.

This was a very unique property and the room was lovely. They may consider though that not everyone can climb into a claw bathtub. Also the room was decorated so well with a beautiful couch that made me feel like the 1940s and then they threw in a tall table and shiny barstools that were neither functional or cohesive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall very nice.

A very unique property. A Heritage building redone. Very modern rooms, quiet despite being downtown. No elevator so being able to navigate stairs is a must. A great Boutique hotel.

What they don’t tell you when you are booking this hotel is the front desk staff is off duty as of 10 pm they also don’t mention that it’s above a bar and you will be forced to hear the beat of the music in your hotel until we’ll after 1am. I had a 6 am wake up so that wasn’t awesome. They also tell you upon booking the front desk employees will help you with your luggage, the person who checked me in was super nice, but there was absolutely zero offer of help for me to lug my 40lb luggage up the stairs. In fact she almost laughed and said thankfully you aren’t on the third floor . 10/10 would not recommend if you are traveling with a heavy bag and want to sleep… if you plan to party you might be ok though lol
