Very picturesque, yet somewhat remote setting. The hotel was by far the best of the 4 star locations for my week of travel; the room and bathroom was fully equipped with expected simple conveniences such as hooks to hang your towels and a shelf to place shampoo and soap, and a large enough shower to actually turn around in! There was an onsite restaurant, tennis court, free biking, swimming pool and the manager was most gracious to pick us up and return us to the train station at no cost...not sure if this is typical, but was much appreciated. Though we were at "the beach" at the wrong time of year, mid May is cold and rainy, there would have been plenty of beach access to enjoy the sun and surf.
The only drawback was that the town of Amantea was about 5 miles away and without a personal vehicle, there was no opportunity to explore the city center, historic sites, churches, etc.
Much better facility than the Amalfi Excelsior and reasonably priced!
