When I arrived there was no doorman, but 3 people were at the front desk with no guests. I was struggling to get the luggage cart through the entrance as the door was not automatic. The staff watched, but did not help. My bathroom floor flooded after my first shower and there was no drain in the bathroom floor. The shower seals were not correctly installed. A very nice young man fixed this on my 2nd day. I used the bathmat and a towel to soak up the water as I was afraid of leakage to the floor below. My towels were not replaced and my room was not cleaned the next day. The towels were paper thin. I have never had such thin towels in an American hotel. The clothes armoire stank. It smelled like perspiration. I was told it was a stain newly applied to the wood. I was a furniture dealer for almost 40 years. I have never smelled a stain like this. My clothes absorbed the odor. If I was paying less than $100 per night, I would expect this type of experience, but for $300 per night, it was not OK.

Absolutely loved the room layout! Very classy, but practical. Desk was made as room dividing beds from trundle bed/couch that was the most comfortable couch I’ve ever sat on. Also small kitchenette off to the side, microwave, mini fridge, & coffeemaker. Best of all shower with large sink/prep area was separate from the toilet room with its own sink. Wardrobe had it’s own extra touches. Full length mirror on the outer door, which I’ve never seen. Full ironing board & plenty room for storage. I do wish the room would have gotten cooler when turned all the way down for two days. Also the toilet was super low to the ground. So much so my knees were bent. No way my mother would have been able to get up, was a little difficult for me. All of the staff greeted me, from the maintenance man, to laundry gal, cleaning ladies, breakfast attendants. Really nice touch! The hallways that had a ton of traffic did show on the floors, all areas were well maintained. I would absolutely stay here again!

Traffic noise!
Nice enough stay. Loud traffic noise from our room 24 x 7. I would stay again but only ask to have a room away from the traffic noise.

I will make sure that all team members know to ask our guests in the event that we see this at our property. I will also talk to our breakfast attendant to assure even service animals stay out of the breakfast area during service. We have stayed here several times with two young children, and every experience was great. They love the indoor pool, and the breakfast has tons of options, so even picky eaters can find something to enjoy. The staff are always courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean, but could be updated. Sink drains were slow. Can be noisy depending on which side the room is on. But the overall experience was great - can get to the children’s museum and zoo both in under ten minutes, and there’s a grocery store you can walk to in two minutes. All excellent for families with young kids. We will continue staying here when we visit.

We were first time visitors to Columbia this past weekend and look forward to coming back. We visited with two adults and two kids (9,5). There was plenty of room for us all in the double bed room. It was great walking distance to Publix, restaurants, and Assembly street. From front desk to housekeeping, the staff was amazing. They were welcoming and accommodating for all of our requests… which weren’t super abnormal but we didn’t feel like a burden asking questions. Breakfast was great with a great variety… there was something for everyone in our group which made mornings easy on our busy weekend here. Will definitely keep SpringHill Suites on our list of places to stay when we return.

the carpets inside the room were extremely dirty. I accidentally dropped a dark colored garment on the floor and picked it up immediately, but it came up with unbelievable amount of dust and lint attached. didn't seem that carpet has ever been vacuumed.

The rooms were decent and clean . Doors are pretty difficult to open into any place that requires a key ( building /pool / rooms ). Room was very spacious and sofa bed was big . Over all had a good stay other that some of the front desk staff was rude and pool was not heated .

Excellent hotel! Would stay again.
Hotel staff were ALL super friendly! -- from the ladies at the front desk, to the management, to the maintenance gentleman who delivered extra sheets to our room for the trundle bed -- everybody was so nice! Breakfast was good, hotel was quiet, beds and linens were super comfy. :)

Great Stay Near the Campus of USC
Quick & Easy Check-In. Clean Room that easily accommodated our family of 5. The breakfast was great. We loved the location. It was easily walkable to many dinner options.

Clean but loud
Very clean room. It was also very loud and the bathroom design was not convenient. The toilet and the shower shouldn’t be separated. Also, there was no place to hang the bath towel.
