Spacious, clean and comfortable room. Friendly front desk. Just stayed overnight but I would stay longer term another time.

Close to the highway, close to the lake and close to the park on the beach. We met several of the locals early in the morning, out with their dogs. We all let them off leash for a great romp. Received a great recommendation for coffee and breakfast at the Pony Expresso in the Welcome Centre. Was a perfect stay. Many thanks

Nice enough rooms and good value
We booked 2 rooms in the out bldg which were in a good spot as we could drive our car right up to our doors. The rooms were nice enough however they were quite small and we had very few places to put our suit cases and such. They would work well for one person but for 2 they were cramped. Staff at desk on check in was pretty good however she charged me almost $20 more than my booking rate I confirmed my booking on. I didn't say anything as it wasn't much over for 2 rooms for 3 nights.........but I found it odd. Never had that happen before

It was a comfortable bed and clean room. The only thing I would recommend is that the remainder of the site where the motel is needs improvement

This motel, raised from the dead, should have been left in the motel graveyard. It is structurally unsound with frighteningly loud cracks and screeches as the people above simply walk around. The front desk attendant (perhaps an owner) pretended like no one had ever complained about the noise and all but rolled her eyes. We thought the people above were going to crash through the ceiling onto our very bouncy uncomfortable bed. The area around the hotel is a demolition zone for an old strip mall. Please do truly watch out for the tiny resident chihuahua who likes to crouch under car tires while the owners show no concern for his safety.

Room was clean. No shampoo or conditioner in the room had to go to the shower house to get some. Rooms only get cleaned if requested. Old restaurant, bar and pool kind of an eye sore. Overall decent stay.

Updated motel
Wonderful updated classic motel. Cute decor, outside still needs some attention, but all is serviceable. Excellent on-site taco truck and open mike night the evening we were there.

Loved this motel
The motel was easy to find, right on the highway. There are two doors to the room on either side so great for natural air flow through with the hot weather, saved the AC energy by doing this instead at night. The room was spacious, the staff friendly and helpful. Walking distance to the Welcome Centre and community hall, and lake public beach. I would definitely stay here again!

It was quiet, clean and a well organized room. We liked the finishing and the blackout curtains. The air conditioner was quiet and competent. They made our visit, though it was a last minute reservation, feel relaxed.

Room was clean and neat, obviously upgraded,larger than the average hotel room. HVAC was noisy on high speed. Beds seemed too soft when sat on but slept well when laying down. Overall a pleasant stay.

We did enjoy our short stay there. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place is an OK place. Don't expect too much for a motel. It was very basic but still clean and somewhat pleasant. The only thing I would criticize was my bed. It was an old spring bed that you could feel the springs going to your flesh and feeling stiff. I had to lay bunch of pillows on the bed to sleep on otherwise my whole body would hurt. So for one night I managed.

Staff was very friendly, great bed and pillow (most important), and clean with all the basic necessities but the property could really use some sprucing up. There weren't very many places to eat in the area but we really liked the Huckleberry Mountain Market up the road with an excellent bakery.
