“great views of Chicago”
Great hotel on the 40th floor of one financial center but there are no hotel services at ground level if you need baggage help.Very close to CBOE.
“Well Worth the Search for the Best Secret in Chicago”
I found the hotel to be extremely nice. The people were very hospitable and the restaurant service was extremely nice. The food was delicious and fresh. The rooms were nicely furnished. We did have to remind the staff we needed more than one (1) wash cloth on several ocassions. The bed was extremely firm, especially for a long term stay. The view from the room was spectacular! I would without a doubt revisit the Buckingham Athletic Club in Chicago.
“Great Hotel”
Atop a 40 story skyscraper in Chaicago's loop, this hotel is unique and dramatic. Our room had a great view of Chicago and it was an easy walk to loop sites. The room was spacious, well appointed, and clean. Simple light breakfast available (bagels, coffee/tea, juice). No room service. Staff was very helpful.
“Hidden Gem!”
Hotel was a hidden gem! Great view of downtown Chicago and service was excellent! I would stay there again for my next visit!
“A real find”
A real gem of a hotel - small and exclusive. Although it is on the south loop and the surrounding district doesn't look too inviting its situation on the 40th floor of the Stock Exchange was superb. The rooms were large and very comfortable with wonderful views of the city. It was a joy to return to and relax after sightseeing.
“Great downtown hotel!”
This hotel is downtown but is still easy to access right off the highway without fighting traffic. We were close enough to walk everywhere we went. The small hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. The views from our room and from the lounge were beautiful! We went to bed looking at the Sears Tower. The fitness center on the third floor was amazing. It has everything you could want for your workout. The staff there is wonderful as well. We weren't sure how much it would cost to park but were pleasantly surprised to find out it was free. That's worth at least $30 a day in downtown Chicago!
“Would definitely go back”
Very nice, clean rooms in the financial district. Very convenient for working in the loop. Felt very secure with all the security as a woman traveling alone. Would most definitely stay there again and would recommend to all that would listen.
“Amazing views, great hotel!!”
The best thing about this hotel were the amazing views you get from the 40th-floor rooms. My room faced north so I could look out onto Sears Tower on one side and Lake Michigan on the other. It's a little different to the usual hotel experience as you are located on the top floor of an office block, so the reception desk is on the ground floor and you have to take two elevators up to the 40th floor, but the room was large and clean, and it was well equipped with large flat-screen TV with cable TV channels, a lovely bathroom, huge comfortable bed, mini-bar, lots of seating, desk space, free wireless internet, etc. There is a lounge room on the same floor (more great views) where a free continental breakfast is provided each morning. You also get access to a leisure club and swimming pool although I didn't get time to use this myself. The hotel is in the Loop district, in a mainly business area so there isn't a huge choice of nightlife close by, but it's only a short walk to get to shops, restaurants etc, and you are very close to lots of subway lines and Metra overground rail stations to take you to other psrts of the city. The hotel is also right next to a Blue Line subway station, which gets you direct to O'Hare airport for only $2.25. I walked around the area at night and it felt very safe - there were still lots of people around, even late at night. The reception desk is staffed 24-hours and access to the building is controlled by security so the building itself felt safe.
“Very impressive”
I was very pleasantly suprised. The staff was excellent.
“Comfy, Clean & Affordable!”
The hotel was very nice. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. : )
