I arrived late and they refused to believe I had a booking and hung up the phone on me. I had to book a stay at the Ibis instead. Just awful service!

Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. Cher client,
Un grand merci pour votre retour. Nous sommes absolument ravis de voir que votre séjour a été parfait :).
Au plaisir de vous revoir très prochainement,
Cordialement,
This is a basic hotel but fine for one night’s stop on a long journey. We have stayed here many times as it is so convenient for motorway, for reasonable priced fuel at the nearby supermarket and restaurants nearby. The bed is fine as is breakfast. You get what you pay for, it is inexpensive.
All we needed was a bed for the night. Room was clean & comfortable.

Basic, clean, and convenient with friendly staff.
This is an inexpensive hotel which offers value for money.
It is fairly basic but clean and with helpful, friendly staff. The big plus for us was its location as we broke our drive from the UK to Spain, approximately half way and close to the toll road.
We will be staying there on our return journey.
A fine hotel for an overnight stay on the way through. Room was clean, Wifi worked well. Mattress could be a little firmer. Price was really good for its value.
The room was clean but a little tired and our room was next to the lift that was very noisy.

Dear Customer,
Meric for your opinion. Do not hesitate to put a little comment on your reservation next time to be in good corridor. Hope to see you again soon.
Cordially.
This is a basic hotel, for the priceyou shouldn’t expect the Ritz. The rooms are clean and comfortable. And most rooms sleep 3. The local town is beautiful and worth a look. Easily accessible from the toll roads and a fantastic stop of place if traveling to the south.

Dear Customer,
Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion. Hope to see you again soon. Cordially.
Turned up at about 8.30pm there was still lots of parking. The room was clean and compact and served its purpose and the hotel is located close to the motorway and petrol station so idea for a stop over.
This review needs the context that we visited Chalon-sur-Soane on a road-trip using budget hotels - consequently, my expectations were calibrated at a certain level.
Our stay here was OK. No one died and we didn't lose any property. The hotel however is next to two tower blocks and in an area with lots of kids/youths hanging around.
The room was "functional" in its most absolute sense. I've spent enough nights in MOD accommodation to know where the line between functional and institutional is and this was possibly over the border into institutional - puce coloured concrete walls with a bed, a chair and a TV. To be fair, the TV was pretty new.
The breakfast was surprisingly good though but I wouldn't stay here again.

Night Stop
The hotel is close to the payage so we were able ro dive off make a noght stop and get baxk on in the morning to Paris.
No frills, noce breakfast and free parking if you get there early enough.
Clean, comfortable hotel. Lift needs attention as the door took ages to close and made a screeching sound. One of our group of four would have liked another pillow,
Overall a pleasant stay, good value for money.
The rooms were freezing cold, there was no soap, no loo roll and no blankets.
We have stayed here many times but will not staying again. We went across to the adjoining Campinalle hotel to book in and eat. It was just as cold in there, the waitresses were wearing their coats in the restaurant it was so cold.
Triple room was very small.
Only two towels in room.
Shower room very dirty.
No one on reception when key card didn't work. I pressed bell at reception for 10 mins and still no one came even though it was during the time that someone should be there. A bunch of keys with master key card left in front reception in clear sight so I took them, went and opened room and brought them back without anyone noticing. This is a real security issue for this hotel.
Fire alarm went off and it was 5 min before any staff appeared.
Very noisy room.
I understand that this was a budget hotel but a 5pm check in time, ridiculous. I sent them an email two days before, no response. We were met by an obnoxious teenager at the counter and I was made to feel like apologises for inconveniencing her. The room was very cramped (expected so being a cheap motel) but the bath 'cabin style' was small and poorly designed. A cloth shower curtain hung in place and the bottom of it looked like it had been dragged through a sewer. No toilet brush, no tissues and no class.
We have stayed at this hotel quite a few times over the last four years as a halfway overnight stop en route to the South of France. It is in the process of being upgraded. Our room was excellent with a very comfortable king sized bed. There are more plugs in convenient places and better storage facilities.
