"The occasion for our visit was one of our son’s wedding. My husband and I arrived ahead of everyone else, prepped the rehearsal dinner on the charcoal grill and in the kitchen. Family and guests starting arriving on Friday. The house was everything we needed; from the kitchen to the sleeping arrangements, adults to toddler to preschool. "Absolutely delightful. Check in clerk was fantastic. Best decorated hotel anywhere. So clean. Bed was super comfy. The little details were so nice. And the ease of access to hot tub was a great feature. The included breakfast is NOT your typical continental breakfast, on a Sunday at least. I would call it the buffet of 100 selections. Great coffee. Des Lux will be our go to hotel in Des Moines. "
