“Best down town, realtime Buenos Aires place in town - if you can get a room.”
In between going to Uruguay and so 2 visits, we found Bohemia's staff to be always friendly and accommodating of our changing circumstances and rebooking which meant 2 rooms: from size-wise fairly small to OK; the breakfast absolutely beautiful - cereals, toast, croisasants and cakes to kill for, and fabulous fruit salads, juices, teas, coffee; the friendliness and competence of staff tops; and security absolute. The location is superb if you have a few days (at least) to work and walk it out. Apart from access areas everywhere, the only issue could be room wifi access which is good in some rooms and not others - but I reckon they'd try to change rooms for you if it was important. Overall, fantastic. They're happy to mind your bags, they have ours now, and we're going back soon !!
“Great place to stay in San Telmo”
This is a great little hotel to stay in while exploring San Telmo. Our room was nice, facing the courtyard, thus away from street noise. It would have been nice to have a small refrigerator, but otherwise the room was fine. The hotel is situated several blocks away from the "square," around which are most of the shops, restaurants and interesting sights. The staff was friendly and helpful, kindly storing our bags between the time we checked-out and left for the airport. The common areas of the hotel are nicely decorated and comfortable. There is a PC available, free of charge. The complimentary breakfast is plenty to charge one up for a day of exploring this enchanting area.
“Small, Attractive Hotel in San Telmo”
Rooms were small but adequate, hotel very clean, helpful and friendly staff. San Telmo is an older Barrio (neighbourhood) but great Sunday FleaMarket, lots of good restaurants nearby. Reasonable walk to Casa Rosada but not best location for tourist.
“A wonderful hotel in San Telmo”
At first I wasn't sure what to think of a "Boutique" hotel, but I must admit it surpassed all my expectations. Extremely clean and very well renovated, it had all the ammenities of a new hotel with all the charm of being right where the action is. Not to mention charmingly antique in its choice of old skeleton keys for the rooms. I know, they're probably original but my children really found it different than the same old card keys. The breakfast was great and we found it fabulous to actually stay in a hotel in a real neighborhood for once instead of staying at the old familiar "touristy" hotels. We were the only family there but they treated us very well. Favored by many businessmen.
“Good budget hotel for a short stay”
We stayed one night before connecting with an early morning international flight. The hotel was comfortable, very clean, staff provided excellent service including arranging a taxi for a 3am departure and they could speak English. It was noisy due to tiling throughout particularly as there was no lift. The location is a bit removed from the downtown sights, but San Telmo is a lovely old part of Buenos Aires.
“Good hotel”
Attractive small hotel. Everything required and helpful front desk staff. Nosiy air conditioning.
“Cute little hotel”
The Bohemian is not really a boutique hotel but it is clean, comfortable and the staff is very nice. I would stay here again.
“Coffin-like rooms”
This hotel seems to be trying, and the breakfast is OK, but the rooms are simply too small. Had I known this, I never would have stayed here. Also, be sure to bring your own power adapter. This is a budget hotel, but priced as if it were something much better. Our other hotel in Buenos Aires was so much nicer.
“Avoid this hotel- they have bedmite infestation”
We stayed in room 111 the first night. We were viciously attacked by bedmites. My husband counted 182 bites all over my body. The hotel management changed us to room 209 for the second night and we were again attached by bedmites. Even my husband who normally does not get bothered by insect bites had many bites and itched a lot. Needless to say, we cancelled our reservation for the other days we had in this hotel. The whole trip in Argentina I had to be going to the pharmacy to get medicated creams and pills to take internally to combat the terrible state I was left in after our stay in this hotel. I am back to the states and my arms still look terrible with all the marks from the bites.
