Great place to stay
My wife and I were going to Cherbourg and we decided to stop in Caen and spend one night. I can definitely say that the place is super handy. They have a 24/7 service. The room is large enough and well soundproofed. The staff made a warm welcome and they accomodeted our needs. I would suggest to stay.

Great stopover venue.
Quiet place out of town. Good for relaxing after travel. Basic but good bed, shower, breakfast and parking.

Teeny, tiny space
This is a very small room. You have to sidestep at the foot of the bed to get from one side of the room to the other. The bed was very comfortable. We asked for extra pillows because the ones we had were very flat. The toilet closet had a perpetual urine smell. It was a simple room. We were comfortable enough during our 4 night stay. Long way by bus to town center or rail station.

Very convenient for Caen to Portsmouth Ferry
A great budget hotel for a stopover before picking up the ferry at Ouistreham or for stopping over after your journey from the UK and have a long journey planned. Ferry port is approximately a 20-30 minute drive dependent on traffic. Rooms are clean and neat, en-suite and with towels supplied. No tea/coffee making facilities, irons or hair dryers but all this is reflected in the price you pay for the room. Free car parking in a secure car park and 24 hour reception

The staff were very helpful. The hotel was noisy and the only places to eat were the Courtepaille restaurant and McDonalds. Unfortunately, we chose the restaurant which was awful! Wish we had eaten at McDonalds!!

Great starting for Caen
Good area to be in when visiting Caen. Staff are friendly and room is clean and quiet. Has everything close by...grocery store, restaurants and attractions and is just off the highway.

Very easy to find. Good reception even though we arrived late at night. The room was spartan but clean. The bed was very comfortable. The room felt a little chilly, and we could have started the night with another cover on the bed, but there wasn't one in the room. I could have gone to reception for one, but I didn't and it was fine. The floor was extremely cold underfoot and there was no carpet or rug. To be fair we were there in mid December.

Nice, reasonable continental breakfast buffet includes cheese and yogurt. Staff are helpful, room modern but very basic, beds smallish and on the hard side, cleanliness depends on who does the rooms that day. Safe location, near MacDonald's and a restaurant. A supermarket nearby. Some noise from the streets below at night.

Small basic room as expected. Clean and functional. Area is busy as close to autoroute with another hotel and fast food outlet. Needed to keep window closed to keep noise out. Hotel was otherwise ok for the price. Secure parking with supermarket and petrol station nearby. Didn't use the breakfast bar.

Four rooms later.....
Having booked and pre-paid for a "triple" room (double plus single) I was on arrival initially allocated a double room. When I challenged this I was told that the hotel had overbooked. This was obviously incorrect as there was very few people staying at the hotel at the time - I would guess at about a quarter occupancy and therefore a direct LIE. I explained that my son and I needed two beds and was then allocated a different room with two single beds. I returned again to Reception and explained that being a large person I find it uncomfortable sleeping in a single bed and that is why I had chosen the "Triple" room option available on-line giving a double and single configuration. The Receptionist then miraculously found and mentioned a "cancellation" and we were allocated a third room so we carried our luggage to this third room to find that it had not been cleaned, the bed was unmade, dirty towels lay on the floor and the bin was full of rubbish. It was only when we returned to Reception and I threaten to book into the adjacent Ibis (non budget) hotel and charge the room back, that a suitable room was found. The hotel was only about a quarter full that night (Saturday) and even less on the second night. I have booked the same hotel on my return journey later this month and am somewhat reluctant to take up this booking although I have already paid for it.
