Serene and aquatic getaway
We absolutely loved Bungalow 3! The overwater getaway was great, from rim the restful deck, with underwater lighting on the corners which drew curious fish, yo the excellent shower. The bedroom was equipped with storage space, and a comfortable mattress. The kitchen was well designed and met our needs. The AC in the bedroom made sleeping much more restful. We hated to say goodbye to Bungalow 3!

Our stay in Bora Bora @ Over the Water Bungalow #3 could not have been any better! Jessica and Tasha were great to work with! Very communicative and Tasha had some really good recommendations on restaurants! Property was better than the pictures! Can't say enough great things about the whole experience! P.S. Rent their car, it was a perfect arrangement! Thanks Jessica and Tasha! Hopefully we'll meet again!

Just Perfect!
I can not say enough nice things about this property. First and foremost Natasha are host was absolutely amazing, she was so attentive to our needs and wants. Any question I had regarding where to eat, where to go- she would research or offer her likes of island restaurants and excursions. She is so informative. The OWB was everything we wanted and exceeded our expectations. The beautiful aqua water and the fish were so beautiful. We snorkeled right there at the OWB and saw so many beautiful fish and coral. We were far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown traffic but close enough to get to any where within 10 to 15 minutes. The locals were all so pleasant, nice and helpful. The inside of the OWB was just as welcoming as the beautiful aqua island waters. Big, beautiful, state of the art appliances, hot water with great pressure in the shower. We had a washer & dryer just like you were at home. Full kitchen and a Apple television so you could use your Hulu or Netflix account to watch television in your preferred language. All the luxury's of a resort without the high cost of a resort. Just Perfect!

Overwater Bungalow w/out the Resort Tether
Bora Bora is about the water and island time. This bungalow will allow you to experience them without the resort fees or stuffiness, yet with the occasional touch of concierge if you need it. Do a tour & grocery pickups as needed, but there's little reason to leave the bungalow. Leave the kids at home. Fully upgraded with all amenities. A car rental, though helpful & available from host, is not necessary and the hosts will generously help with taxis as needed. Some restaurants provide taxis as part of dinner service. Upon arrival, consider walking to Chin Lee (best market in town), grab the local fruits from the street vendors, and head back to ferry for taxi. Tell them "condominiums at Fah-ah New-Ee". Lights on pilings attract fish at night. Very memorable. Unlike the resorts, there's still live coral in the water here. easy swimming & kayaking with gear provided. Really great hosts who care about the quality of your stay. Neighboring bungalows can cause noise, as they allow larger parties. Public dock down the road attracts local kids that like to blast music, which is unfortunate. These minor noise issues are the only negative to this otherwise magical property.

Wonderful accommodation. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and great bathroom. Lots of towels and beach towels. Kayak and water floats were greatly appreciated. Tasha and Jessica were responsive and very helpful. Wonderful location for water and sunser views! Loved it.

This place is unbelievably beautiful, no exaggeration... the pictures dont do it justice. The property manager Natasa was attentive and so sweet. If I could post some of my amazing photos or videos from there I would. Best sunsets you will ever see.. just be sure to wait about another half hour after you think its over because it will only get better. No one does this and they miss out.

We stayed for about a week in early July 2023. We were blown away. The host did a phenomenal job at communicating with us and giving us tips and suggestions. The house was extremely clean, beautifully remodeled, and the view is breathtaking. I have only very positive things to say about this house and the hosts. I do wish we had done more research about Bora Bora before we chose it as our travel destination. We would not choose to go there again, however if you have fully decided to go then this is the house to stay at. We drove around the island several times and this is by far the nicest house!

The bungalow is beautiful with gorgeous views. Highly recommended for anyone staying in Bora Bora. Only issue I had was getting here as we landed after 6pm so there was no taxi. We were lucky one of the resort shuttle was willing to drop us off.

This property on BoraBora was very special, and our stay went well. Communications with Jessica and Tasha were easy and prompt, the house was as represented. We rented a car from Jessica - necessary if you want to leave home for anything. We swam from the deck, enjoyed seeing the fish in the night lights, had a wonderful boat trip to the fabulous Coral Gardens - Glen picked us up and dropped us off at our dock. Only negative thing I can add is the sliding screen that didn't slide easily - but then maintenance is probably a challenge over the water. Yes, we'd stay there again.

Wonderful over the water bungalow
This over the water bungalow was so cool! It is a wonderful home, very spacious, great kitchen with all of the accessories and a beautiful view of the water. We especially enjoyed the porch where we ate our meals. Also having a washer and dryer to do laundry was a plus. Renting the car that is available through the VRBO was very convenient. The car was left in the ferry parking lot for us so no waiting in long lines to get the rental car. And leaving the car in the ferry parking lot when we were leaving Bora Bora was super convenient. The bungalow is a good ways from any restaurants or shopping so the car was essential for us. The only down side to this particular bungalow is that there is only air conditioning in the bedroom/bathroom. We vacationed in Bora Bora in January, which is their summer, so it was hot and humid while we were there. The bedroom was nice and cool, but it was very uncomfortable (sticky and muggy) in the main living area and kitchen. I think this would only be a problem during their summer months. Otherwise this was a wonderful place to spend a week in Bora Bora.

The property is located on the water about 15minute drive from the main village of Vaitape. Fantastic views and overall good clean property in a quiet location. Full compliment of amenities makes you feel like your in a home away from home!!

Do yourself a favor and book this property. Everything about it exceeds expectations. We felt like royalty. The property managers were kind and communicative, and helped us with everything including a car rental through the house making our entire trip seamless!! We went on a boat tour with Moana tours (captain Glen is THE BEST!!) and had beautiful meals around the island. We also cooked a lot at the rental with all the tools so generously provided. This rental is a MUST for your dream stay in Bora Bora. We are absolutely in love with overwater bungalow #3 and know that anyone else booking will be too. Thank you thank you thank you!

If you are considering visiting Bora Bora look no further! This overwater bungalow has everything you need and it’s on the main island! Jessica was very accommodating and she had Tasha meet us at the ferry dock with our rental car ready to go. Most of the resorts in Bora Bora are off the main island which makes it very inconvenient to go to town, restaurants, the beach or stores. This property comes with a full kitchen which is super important if planning to stay longer than a couple of days. Much of the food around isn’t the best and is very expensive. Being able to visit the grocery store and cook most of our meals at the bungalow made our vacation much more enjoyable. Also, the washer and dryer is very handy, especially, if you plan on doing any activities or hiking while in Bora Bora. Jessica hooked us up with a hiking guide named Django which we highly recommend. The property also has a kayak and BBQ., which was nice. This is definitely the only place we will consider staying when traveling to Bora Bora.

Really can't say enough about this bungalow, or the ease of arranging our stay and communicating with Jessica and Natasha. This was our honeymoon trip, and we considered a lot of options but kept coming back to Bora Bora's overwater bungalows. We considered the resorts, but the idea of having our own kitchen and living area, and making our own meals and drinks just sounded perfect to us, and it was even better than expected (and at a much lower cost). Bungalow #3 is beautifully designed and appointed, with all the functionality and comforts of home in a total paradise setting. We rented a pontoon from La Plage and circled the island (highly recommended!), and saw resort after resort of what looked like large suburban neighborhoods of close-quarter overwater bungalows, and repeatedly felt grateful we went with this option instead. Again, can't say enough, and would return to this bungalow in a heartbeat.

I have stayed in many VRBO properties and this is by far the best experience to date!! You will not find better hosts than Natasha & Jessica. From the beginning when our rental car was waiting for us at the dock, to the ease of checkout when leaving, everything was perfect. Natasha even went out of her way to check ferry times so we would not miss our flight. The Bungalow was so amazing I can’t find words to describe it. The crystal clear water teaming with beautiful colorful fish and awesome sunsets were just over the top! Thanks again Natasha & Jessica for an amazing stay for our 40th anniversary!!!

We love our Bora Bora Overwater Bungalow home. Smartly appointed with every need addressed. Jessica and Natasa are very friendly and responsive. Recommend leasing Jessica's car to get around the island. Loved lounging on the deck and dipping into the water. Abundant Mullet surround the bungalow support pillars when the timing lights lit the pillars at night. To see fish best, contact Moana Adventure Tours to snorkle the manta ray cleaning station and motu coral gardens. Then request a boat ride directly back to the bungalow. Had a wonderful stay in bungalow N °3. Water and sunsets are so pretty at the bungalow. The porch over the water was our favorite place to hang out. Took the kayak around. The house is amazing. Big modern kitchen any type of kitchen appliance you could want. Spacious living room large glass walk-in shower was fantastic. Jessica and Natasha were such wonderful hosts. They were such a pleasure to work with. Felt well taken care of from the moment we booked our trip till we left back on to the ferry back to the airport. So warm and welcoming. Rest and recharge in literal paradise
Jessica and Natasa were exceptional in their communication and bent over backwards to make sure our vacay was a success - and boy was it! The bungalow had everything you could need from life jackets to a juicer! I loved having a hut on the water that wasn't in a resort. We could come and go as we pleased without waiting for a ferry and weren't stuck eating at their WAYYY overpriced restaurants. I loved going to the store and just picking up a fresh baguette every morning. I loved getting the most gorgeous fruit from a roadside seller. We saved a fortune on snorkel excursions by just hopping off the deck! If it's important to you to have a glass bottomed floor, knock yourself out at a resort. If you want to have an immersive experience with the most delightful and safe and joyful people on earth without all the fluff, stay at bungalow #3! You will absolutely not regret it!

My husband and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary and my upcoming 60th birthday. We had other friends who stayed in different accommodations on the hill and over the water. This bungalow was very comfortable. Well supplied kitchen and a washer and dryer. It was very clean and nicely decorated. It had some shampoos and conditioner but bring your own soap. It was nice to have AC in the bedroom and we used the fan to cool the other room. Tasha was wonderful and very helpful. She helped with all of our requests. The masseuse she recommended was fabulous and I had a wonderful massage over the water! We had a wonderful stay in Bungalow 3!!!

Amazing Property and Amazing Hosts
“Top Notch” sums this property up. We stayed in the bungalow for a week and fell in love with the place. The kitchen was amazing and we were so thankful to have such a well stocked kitchen. The only thing missing was a traditional American coffee pot. There was a small percolator that my husband was able to use but it wasn’t quite the same as a regular old American coffee pot. Nothing that couldn’t be fixed with the addition of a little Bailey’s to the coffee. 😁 From the very first time I made contact with Jessica she was nothing short of spectacular! She spent hours answering questions and helping to get things set up for us. She was truly amazing and I am so very grateful for all of her help. Never once was she anything other than friendly, professional, and a just down right caring person. She stayed in constant communication with us and I always knew if I had a question or needed help she would be right there to do so in a timely manner. She is more than just a super host, she really is a super person! Natasa picked us up and was very helpful during our stay as well. She communicated with us effortlessly which we really appreciated as a couple small things came up. She was also extremely friendly. I left feeling like I had made two new friends with Jessica and Natasa as that is how great they were on checking in with us and making sure everything was going well. The bungalow itself sits along a stretch of five private bungalows. I believe this is the best bungalow by far!!! Every morning I swam the length of the bungalows multiple times during sunrise. In doing this, I noticed this was the only bungalow that had two huge doors that opened and pushed out allowing you and the air to flow freely in and out. Anytime we were at the bungalow we had those doors wide open and it was marvelous! When you add in that you can shut the bedroom door to still keep it a little cooler during the day in the bedroom (should you want a nap) it is a winning combination! The washer and dryer were amazing to have and we did utilize it. Also, after spending three weeks in French Polynesia having the dishwasher felt like such a luxury! There is a fan that is provided and it was an amazing high power fan. During the day we ran it in the living room to help move air and at night we moved it into the bedroom to blow on us with the air conditioning on. We slept like babies! You can’t go wrong with this property or with Jessica and Natasa!

Perfection in Paradise
My wife and I booked this wonderful overwater bungalow for our honeymoon in Bora Bora. Everything about our stay was above and beyond our expectations. Jessica and Natasha were the most amazing and helpful hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure of encountering. The house itself was beautiful, comfortable, and we really appreciated having a kitchen, washer and dryer, and the privacy that a resort just can’t provide. Several couples we encountered on excursions complained about noisy neighbors at the resorts. Wasn’t a problem for us! Not to mention the cost of this house is exponentially less than if you were to book a resort! We truly believe this is the best place to stay in Bora Bora, and hope to return someday. Do yourself a favor, and go ahead and book this. You won’t regret it! Thank you again for everything Jessica and Tasha. Cheers!

Perfect vacation spot!
My husband & I stayed here for a little over a week. We loved everything about it! The bungalow is well appointed with all the modern amenities, great kitchen and bathroom. We loved how almost the entire wall opens up to the deck over the water. Great snorkeling right off of the deck! The location is good as well, we watched a beautiful sunset every evening. It’s close enough to town where we could pick up a few groceries often. Jessica is fantastic, super helpful and a pleasure to work with!

Bungalow No. 3 is number one in our hearts!
The bungalow is amazing, the view was gorgeous and Jessica was fantastic. The owner of the bungalow has done a lot of work to update and create a beautiful space on the water. We enjoyed a fantastic kitchen where we cooked dinner and breakfast daily. We rented a car (definitely a must) and drove into town to grocery shop. We experienced two different kinds of stingrays, an octopus and a black tip reef shark right from our balcony. Early morning is the best time for that. Jessica was extremely helpful leading up to our trip, and called us a couple times while we were their just to make sure things were going ok. You can rest assured that you are in good hands when you are working with Jessica. Whenever the time comes for us to head back to Bora Bora, we hope that we can rent the No. 3 bungalow again.

Amazing Honeymoon
This bungalow was the perfect place for relaxation in Bora Bora. After the whirlwind of a wedding and traveling from Oregon, we couldn't have picked a better place. Our stay was improved drastically by the help of Jessica. She made our trip about as easy as possible. If there was anything we needed she was there to help us. Not only would we return here for another trip, we will tell everyone we know how great it was. As I was planning our trip here, I relied a good bit on the reviews for information so I will leave some tips I feel could help and improve your future visit here. Definitely rent a vehicle for your stay. The two towns, Vaitape and Matira are where the restaurants, shops and bars are all located. If you are looking to go to the grocery stores (there are 3 markets) and/or eat out/get drinks, you will need transportation. The kitchen and grill located at the bungalow was perfect for us as we enjoy eating in and cooking ourselves. Also, we did a snorkeling tour that picked us up from the dock which was nice. Most places take credit card so that was convenient. They even took USD which helped as well, however you will get change in the local currency. For example, 1000 xpf equals to around 10 USD. ( Remove the last two digits for a close, quick conversion). Most of the bars/restaurants work on a similar schedule which took us time to get used to. For example most will have the bar open all day, however only serve food from 11-2pm and 6-10pm so plan accordingly. Most nights we decided to stay in, cook and just enjoy the quiet, beautiful view. Overall it was a life changing trip and we couldn't be happier with it. Our favorite part was exploring what the island has to offer and basically just winging it and getting to know the local population and culture. If it wasn't for Jessica's help and information, I am not sure what we would have done. Thanks for the best trip ever Jessica!

Perfect Bungalow in an Idyllic Setting
We really enjoyed our stay. It had all of the amenities with a fully equipped kitchen, a modernized bathroom, and a very comfy bed. It was great listening to music on the Bose system while enjoying one of the best views on the island. It was also located in a quiet neighborhood. It was also fantastic to snorkel and kayak right off the patio deck. Natasha was our host and she was very helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be back!!

Had a great stay in overwater bungalow #3. Jessica the manager was fantastic. answered all emails promptly and made my wife and I feel at home. Was able to stretch out and relax and go for a swim and or snorkel right out the door. Snorkeling equipment, boogie boards and a 2 person kayak were free to use.. The bungalow was spacious. 2 large folding glass doors stayed open the whole time, except when we went site seeing, even when we slept. Well supplied kitchen. Had to learn how to use the coffee makers

We had an amazing 10 days in this lovely home over the water. The house is fully stocked with everything you need for rest, relaxation, cooking, and water fun. We cooked most of our own meals and enjoyed driving to town everyday to be part of the local culture and, of course, get our fresh baguette and brie. Jessica was a gracious host and I encourage you to take advantage of renting her car. It is too far to walk or bike to town and you will definitely want to drive around the island to get to lunch at Snack Matira. The snorkel right off the deck is good and we dove in every day to see lots of fish, clams, and one day a sting ray & a turtle! Take advantage of the Bose system and link up your device for your own music selection. The air in the bedroom works very well and it certainly helps to cool down at night. The airport is directly across from the house and we suggest you ask Jessica for an airport transfer to the house vs. using the ferry. It is a 10 minute ride and great way to get there are back. We have stayed all over the world at beach homes and this was our best vacation yet (this is also my first review after many many Home Away rentals - we loved it that much). If you are looking for a day on the water please check out H2O Bora Bora. David is wonderful and will make sure you get to the BEST dive/snorkel locations - also, everyone can pick you up from your private dock! We ate good food everywhere, but did not enjoy Bloody Mary's as it was very dark, hot, and the food was not spectacular - a tourist locale for sure. Bora Bora Beach Club, The St James, and Matira Beach Restaurant were all very good. Bora Bora does not have many activities and is really set up for water sports and lazing around. They call it Boring Bora for a reason. If you need rest and more rest with a few days of fun water activities thrown in, then this is for you. The resorts on the island are very expensive and you are basically trapped on the Motu for food and activities. Renting a home allows you the freedom to explore and not have to rely on a water taxi to get to the main island. This house is a great selection - WE WILL BE BACK!

Bungalow n3 was amazing!
This was our first trip to Bora Bora. Bungalow n3 was the perfect place to stay during our time here. It is well equipped for cooking if you want to eat in. The interior and exterior of the bungalow are like new condition. We sent most of our time here on the deck enjoying the views, fish, rays swimming by, sunsets and the beautiful views in every direction. Jessica was amazing from the booking to arrival and any assistance with activities and restaurant recommendations. Renting the car that was available through Jessica is a good idea. The drive around the island is amazing. Perfect vacation in paradise.

Spectacular, marvelous , breathtaking experience.
From the Bungalow, that was situated on the water in the blue lagoon, we would snorkel all arounds enjoying views of coral fishes. The Bungalow had all amenities, modernized and upgraded, just wonderful. Our stay was just fantastic and fulfilled all we had hoped for many times over. Bora Bora is such a beautiful island. Also Jessica, who took care of us and showed us the Bungalow when we arrived and stayed in contact with us was a delight to deal with. I would like to thank her and give her a 10 plus out of 10 max for her service.

From the moment we arrived on Bora Bora we were very happy we booked this Overwater Bungalow. We had Jessica pick us up from the ferry terminal (you might want to arrange this as it's much more reasonable than a taxi) and take us directly to the bungalow. Pictures don't do it justice. The views are to die for and we spent hours on the deck watching the boats, kayakers and paddle boarders go by. Thank goodness for the kitchen as food is pretty expensive on the island and not a huge selection. We cooked many meals and ate everyone on the deck. There is a wonderful air conditioner in the bedroom for nighttime. We just went into the water off the landing and snorkeled immediately. On our first day I almost ran into a Manta-Rays tail! The following day we both saw this massively big Manta-Ray do 3 flips out of the water right in front of the home!! If you snorkel to the left there is a reef rocky area with a lot of sea life. There is also a kayak that we took out and had fun with. If you want an amazing snorkeling adventure, contact H2O Bora Bora. David is a wonderful guide and took us to 4 different areas! Jessica is a wonderful host. Oh and she has a car you can rent and we recommend it as it's also reasonable but it is a manual. She is very communicative and laid back. We truly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend this place! Oh and it used to be owned by Jack Nicholson, so I slept in Jack's bed ;)

This property is GORGEOUS!! The pictures don't do it justice. It is absolutely breathtaking. Bora Bora was the last stop on our honeymoon and with this overwater bungalow, we absolutely had saved the best for last. The water is beautiful and there is great snorkeling right in front of the bungalow. Also, Jessica was a great host. She is easygoing and does all that she can to make sure that your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. She also is able to arrange pickup/dropoff from the Air Tahiti airport-to-Vaitape boat if you aren't renting a car immediately during your stay. We loved Bora Bora and it was a great way to end our honeymoon!

Incredible views and amenities!
This place is just wonderful, wish we could have stayed longer. Very comfortable, clean, and has everything you need to cook yourown meals if you want. Also plenty of options for water activities, with a kayak and all! Jessica was also very attentive and responsive to our questions! Will definitely return and recommend to friends!!

Simply... Amazing!
Great place to enjoy solitude! Gorgeous snorkeling right off the dock, day and night! Amazing and accommodating host. Be sure to get the rental car or plan to purchase a burner cell phone if your international plan is not supported. Everything you need to cook an American Thanksgiving dinner is available in the kitchen. Seriously! We cooked a full turkey breast, mashed potatoes, Mac and Cheese, stuffing, etc. Our friend who stayed at the 4 Seasons wer jealous of our accommodations. Any of the snorkeling and dive tours will pick you up from the dock. Water taxis are expensive at 3 to 4 times the cost of a land taxi which averages US $30 just to downtown 6 miles away.

This place is a dream! The overwater bungalow is wonderful, very large, equipped with everything you need. Everything inside the apartment is of high quality (furniture, basic amenities, etc.). We stayed 3 days and we relaxed, swimming in the surrounding lagoon, using the kayak, looking at the wonderful landscape and at the sunsets. The only negative aspect is that the closer grocery stores and restaurant are quite far, which could be a bit limiting in case you stay for several days and you do not want to drive a car. However, this was not our case since we stayed for only 3 days, we bought everything we needed on the first day and we enjoyed cooking our meals there. Jessica is a wonderful host, responsive and very kind. When we arrived she was not in Bora Bora, but she organized the pick up anyway and we were welcomed at the apartment by a friend of her. The apartment is very expensive, but being an overwater bungalow in Bora Bora I would say that it is a good deal. You will not be disappointed!
