"A wonderful hotel with comfortable, spacious room. Clean, modern, just the type of hotel I like. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice with many choices, including hot plates. Location was perfect. Hotel is situated in the old town close to main attractions and also to the train station. I highly recommend this hotel in the beautiful city of Bern. . "

"Interesting self check-in and door controls via app. Great for the tech savvy, but I can imagine some older folks might need some help. Our cozy room was compact but sufficiently spacious for 2 adults with a little creative arrangement of 2 large luggages. Only thing that it didn't have was a fridge in the room. There was a fridge in the common area that I think can be used though. We love that the place was modern, clean, centrally located and even had a free game room, coffee and fruits."

"Our stay at the Bären was fantastic. The staff is absolutely wonderful, friendly, accommodating. The Hotel and room is very clean. We were able to do early check in and our room had a little fridge and microwave, which was fantastic because we travelled with a toddler. They also put in a little bridge between the two single beds so we could all sleep in the big bed, no baby bed needed. The location is so close to all public transit and endless restaurants and shopping opportunities. It's very close to the parliament building. There is a public market on Saturday and Sunday everything is closed (shops, grocery stores) but restaurants/coffees are open. Overall a great location, quiet (if you get the courtyard rooms) and a very pleasant stay."
