“We would like to stay there again. Rate is Super.”
It is very comfortable ,nice ,cleaning and convenience . Location is great ,next to everything.
“Beijing Delight”
This hotel was everything I expected and more. We spent the weekend in Beijing and had originally booked a Days Inn (what a dump) called Expedia and within 30 min. they changed our hotel. They placed us on the 10th floor(the last floor of the hotel). We had our own breakfast area and concierge on the floor. Housekeeping promptly turned over the room and brought us anything we needed. Upon check-in we were given a lovely fruit basket. I definitely recommend this hotel! I would stay again! Hotel was within walking distance of the subway which is an inexpensive and convenient way to get around Beijing all stops are labeled in Chinese as well as in English.
“I'd go back tomorrow!”
This hotel was perfectly situated on a subway line accessing some of Beijing's top tourist spots. There were lots of dining options in the area ranging from fast food to nicer restaurants. Our suite was wonderful and spacious -- so much more than we expected for the price. The sofas in the living room of our suite could use some reupholstery, but otherwise everything was very nice. The staff was pleasant and helpful. A non-smoking lobby would have made everything about perfect. Be sure to check with the hotel for directions before going. Several taxis did not seem to know where it was and we wasted a bit of time trying to find it. I think it's better known as Paragon Hotel rather than a Howard Johnson's. If I go back to Beijing, I will definitely plan to stay at this hotel again.
“"Top location, great hotel, value for money."”
This hotel was all we read about on the various internet sites. It is in the most convenient location to be able to walk to nearly all the places of interest. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast and evening resteraunt food is very good. After a long day out sightseeing you are able to enjoy the shopping mall within the hotel area without having to go out again. Everything you need is close and public transport is on your doorstep. Best of all a Tourist Bureau is acroos the road of front door. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone from normal tourists to business people. Some front desk staff rather abrupt and come across very rude but you just move onto someone nice.
“Close to subway”
Not a luxury hotel by any means, but sufficient. Close to subway and Henderson Centre - lots of food options and big supermarket.
“Comfortable and convenient stay in Beijing”
Checking in was hassle free, once the cab driver found it, and our room had a very comfortbable king size bed as we had expected and a nice bath. The hotel is located close to the Beijing railway station and the train system in Beijing is easy to use and cheap. We could walk ( or catch a train if you wanted to) the many attractions in that area such as the Forbidden City, Tian'amnen Square,Wangfujing Shopping and Food streets, the Ancient Observatory and the Silk & Pearl Markets which are 5 floors of bartering fun.The hotel is part of a shopping centre so it was easy to find anything you needed. The hotel foyer has a nice area for having a quiet drink after a long day sight seeing and the buffet breakfast is good value. Staff were friendly and they had enough english that we all got by. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Beijing. You can actually get the express train from the airport to Dongzhimen station and then changing to subway line 2 - only 4 stops to Beijing station rather than a taxi which I would had done if I had only known how close we were to the station.
“very good!”
very good price, n very good hotel ! enjoy your vacation..
“Wonderful place to stay”
The hotel was very comfortable, and the staff efficient and sweet. The location allows for easy access to other areas of the city since it is next to the subway and train stations. We found the hotel so comfortable, we actually didn't got out except for food on some days. Beijing is a very busy city and if you need a quiet place to escape from that at night, this hotel definitely does that.
“A solid hotel at reasonable price”
As a solo traveller, I wanted something central and easy to get to from the airport at a reasonable price for my three-night stay in Beijing. Howard Johnson Paragon met my expectations. My only difficulty was getting there using the bus from the airport as recommended in one of your reviews. The bus is 16yuan and delivers you to the International Hotel just around the corner. Locals do not know the Paragon buy it's english name. My mistake (...yes I was very jetlagged) was not to show the Chinese name I had acquired from MapQuest. Live and learn! Check out the Youth Hostel down the street for cheap tours. If you want to meet other english speaking tourists, have breakfast at McDonalds. What I found interesting about my room on the 9th floor was that it had a 5' square window from the bedroom into the bathroom?? Why?
“Paragon hotel - Beijing Febuary 2011”
the paragon hotel is good value for the money. Its located next to a large mall with good selection of food and goods. There is a KFC just minutes walk from which serves breakfast and off course chicken meals. This is way cheaper than the hotel restaurant opened for breakfast. The room is as expected, pretty clean and comfortable. The value is great. The strange thing is, in the bath room is a tray of questional aid packets. I found it strange and funny. However, this is not indicative of the patrons that stay there. The hotel staff is courteous and professional. Some speak a little english and some don't. We managed to get by. Don't expect to see too much around the area, there is a subway nearby if you need to go somewhere. overall i would recommend this hotel.. for the price and convenience of a mall and fast food nearby i don't think you will find a better deal.
