We loved our stay at hotel Alpi , the hotel is in a great location just a short walk into the centre of Baveno but also great jump off point to discover this great area . The Hotel is run by the greatest people nothing is a problem they always went that extra miles to make you feel so welcome and comfortable. Me and my family would like to say Grazie Hotel Alpi see you again

Good location close to several amenities. Beach close by, several towns nearby, public transportation access, air conditioning was wonderful! Cleanliness top notch, staff friendly, good value, lovely food. The only thing missing if you’re going during hot summer is a pool. The balcony with lake view was really nice as well, rooms at the back would not have a great view. Overall very satisfied, good experience.

Superb value
Last minute booking with my elderly and disabled parents. Communication from the hotel was excellent both before arrival and while there. Beatrice in reception is wonderful and the hotel is very well run. It is beautiful kept and spotlessly clean. Location is great - a couple of minutes walk through a park to the beach and less than 10 minutes walk down to the promenade, restaurants and ferry terminal. A very comprehensive and delicious breakfast was included in the rate. This is a great little hotel and excellent value.

The hotel is only about 5 short blocks from the lakeshore city center and about 3 long blocks from the train station, it has a very convenient location without being in the center of town. Fabulous views of the lake and the mountains from their balconies. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and their breakfast was very nice. Rooms were a good size and always very clean ! I would definitely recommend !

This was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in, all the staff were helpful and friendly. It seems geared to coach parties and large groups but that said it didn’t impact on our stay.

Very good, a home-from-home. Staff welcoming, helpful & pleasant. No-one failed to greet us with a 'bon giorno' or 'buona sera' throughout. Reception will happily print bus/ferry schedules etc for you. Our end-room a good size (abt 7mx4m) plus a bathroom 3x3 with shower washbasin wc & bidet (Most rooms have the bathroom inside the main room area, I think). Quite clean throughout our stay, & despite eco notice, towels were changed everyday. Our end room had sidewindow (one half tilt&turn), the patio door/window (one half tilt&turn). Both had external electric shutters which were effective at shutting out the light, but you'd probably not be able to get up to see the sunrise over the lake without disturbing your room-mate, or neighbours, possibly. A small balcony with two chairs & a table. The lake-view rooms also face the road, the main one out of Baveno going north, so traffic noise could be intrusive (but if you don't like revving sports cars and motorbikes, then don't come to Italy). The rooms on the other side face the railway line (about 100m away), so there might be some train noise. A kettle, cups and saucers were provided. Double-wardrobe with shelf, desk with shelf under, plus a cupboard with safe (enter your own 4-digit key). Bedside open cabinets. (No drawers anywhere). Two padded chairs. Suitcase table. Bedside lights and overhead light, switches by bedsides. Sockets at bedsides and ov desk, but UK adaptor interfered with light switch operation.

Fabulous hotel. Spotlessly clean. Staff friendly and helpful. A mini fridge in bedroom would’ve been good, but that’s the only gripe apart from it being on a fairly busy road. All the pros out weigh that though. Breakfast was lovely. Choice of cereals, cooked meats, various breads. You could dine at night for €23. Manager even gave us complimentary drinks when we checked out, as we had to wait for taxi. Only five minute walk from bars/ restaurants and ferry terminal. Would certainly go back there .

The hotel is pretty classic but it has a good vibe and the staff are really, really friendly. No real bar though you can get a drink in the lounge and the restaurant menu is fine if you want three courses. All meat! But I really liked this place. The rooms are basic but clean and tidy. Like I said - it’s a bit old school but has a really family atmosphere.

Ideal location within 5 minute walk of town of Baveno/Ferry Terminal. Great location to explore local attractions and excellent walking. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Balcony rooms with good view of Lake Maggiorre.

Solid Budget Option for Exploring Borromeo Islands
The Hotel Alpi was a very nice hotel, especially for the price. This was our third hotel on our trip and, although it was the most basic of the hotels, it compared favorably. The staff were amazing and always exceptionally helpful. The room was small, but very clean and had a nice balcony with a view. The only downside is that the hotel overlooks a somewhat busy road, so sitting on the balcony is a bit noisy. Inside the room, there was no noise, so it really was a minor complaint. Traditional European breakfast was included and was quite good. The hotel offered a fixed menu dinner through their restaurant, but we ate out because we wanted a few more options. There is also a bar in the hotel, but we did not spend time there. Out the door there was easy access across the street and through a park to a modest beach with a bar. The hotel offers towels to take to the pool and the beach. We didn't spend much time there, but it was quite nice. The hotel is also within easy walking distance to a grocery, the train and boat stations, as well as many restaurants and the main water front. Baveno doesn't have a huge selection of restaurants and some are overpriced due to their waterfront location. Still, there are good options. The hotel is in a prime location for visits to the Borromeo Islands and is a good launch point for the Maggiore Express train/boat trip. I highly recommend it for those looking for a solid hotel that won't break the budget.

Als wir ankamen war unser Zimmer wegen eines Wasserschadens nicht verfügbar. Der Hotelier hat uns dann kostenlos eine Ferienwohnung in der Nachbarschaft zur Verfügung gestellt. Am Folgetag bekamen wir dann unser gebuchtes Zimmer mit Seeblick und Balkon. Das Hotel ist komplett neu renoviert und in einem sehr gutem Zustand.

Das Hotel Alpi ist so richtig ein schönes Hotel, wo man sich gut vorstellen könnte mehrere Tage zubleiben oder sogar den ganzen Urlaub verbringen kann. Sehr gut gelegen und zu Fuss alles in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden nächstes mal länger dort bleiben wenn wir an den Lago Maggiore kommen. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Petit hôtel calme et tranquile. Le patron (mention ) et le personnel sont à votre attention dés que vous les sollicitez. Ligne de bus à proximité de l'hôtel. Embarcadére pour les iles à 500m. Les chambles (vue sur le lac) sont bien équipée, calme et avec une bonne literie. Je précise que ces écrits relatent ce que J'AI VU et VECU pendant mon séjour.

es war alles top, angefangen vom Empfang, über Abendessen, Frühstück und Abreise. Alle waren sehr freundlich. Alle Räume top sauber und gepfegt, ebenso das Zimmer mit Balkon. Einzig im Badzimmer fehlen Ablagen. Sonst gibt es nichts zu bemängel. Wir kommen jedenfalls wieder

le personnel est à vos soins et très gentil; la chambre est très correcte et même donnant sur le lac et la rue, pas bruyant du tout, nous avons très bien dormis. Le petits déjeuné n'offre pas assez de variété, par exemple pas d'œuf au plat ou brouillé;
