The location of this hotel gives you an amazing view of Banff. One that most other hotels cannot replicate.

The Hidden Ridge Resort is a hidden gem :) Gorgeous location and very private (yet fully accessible to downtown Banff). All of the staff are super courteous, efficient and helpful-but especially at the front desk. The pool and hot tub are wonderfully situated and are blessed with splendid views. There are even super clean and convenient bbq facilities. We saw lots of wildlife (birds galore, deer, elk, squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits etc.) on this visit and when you can book a fully equipped suite/condo with a great loft, at a great price, there are no better reservations to be had for couples or families. We will most definitely return in the off season. The beds are comfortable but the rooms can get a little warm (especially the lofts) in the heat of summer as there is no A/C, but we have stayed at multiple lodgings in Banff for numerous years, and Hidden Ridge is hard to beat. When we can get an excellent rate, there is nowhere else like it and we are never disappointed.

The place was very cozy. The bed was comfortable. We loved the Rocky Mountain Soap products they had. The fireplace was my favorite in thing about the room and the views from the pool and our backyard. The pool was very crowded on the weekend but during the week we were able to have more space. The food/drink credit is misleading since they don’t have a restaurant on site so we didn’t get to use it. We would have to go downtown to use it. They have a laundry room for a fee but it was inexpensive but super helpful. Parking was a little iffy. Sometimes we had to park away from our hotel room. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are a bit outdated. Overall I probably would stay here again but only if it’s at a reasonable price.

Overall just okay. Many of the rooms features did not work (2 working elements on the stove, somewhat broken dish washer, toilet issues). Beds were very comfortable. Housekeeping seemed to pick and choose areas to clean (tape left on the wall from previous stay, toilet paper in the toilet on arrival) microwave does not turn, but does sort of work. The view from the hot tub was the best part of this location but the hot tub was often full. Housekeeping also left our door open- we came home after an afternoon to find our door wide open. Probably wont be back.

Rustic and in a beautiful, quiet area with amazing views, especially from the outdoor hot tub. Friendly staff. Aside from the clean bedding (I think) and clean toilets/bathrooms, the place was dirty. I sure don’t expect perfect condition because it’s an older property, but I do expect clean dishes, clean cupboards to store the dishes, a clean floor and a clean deck. The walls were so dirty you could see the dirt from across the room and there was a hole in a corner of the floor that looked to have some sort of growth in it. The VIP experience was also kinda silly. The hotel doesn’t offer any food so the VIP voucher is only good for a discount at one of the local restaurants quite a distance away. You have to be checked into the hotel in order to use the discount at one of the restaurants. We didn’t get to town until 7 PM and we were checking out at 11 AM the next day so we couldn’t use the voucher. The manager was kind and apologized for the room being dirty, and said that was not their standard. That is all though. Just words. If the place received a deep clean from floor to ceiling inside and out I would rate it higher.

Loved the amount of room with having 2 teenagers. The views were AMAZING. Having the option to cook out own food was helpful in saving from going out. Complementary bus tickets was also a pleasant surprise. We will definitely stay here again!

Room was not as nice as pictures would suggest but it's also wasn't bad. Just had higher expectations. Was a lower level suite similar to a walkout basement which I also did not expect. There was a loud family above us so request an upper suite if available. No amenities in the area which is something to note.

We had a wonderful time at this resort! Clean rooms and front desk people were nice and helpful. Hot choco, coffee and tea at the lobby were superrb! But the pool’s water looks like it’s hasn’t been changed. But overall we had a fabulous time with our family from different countries!

The location of the hotel is great and we were lucky to have an amazing view of the surrounding area. However the lodge was very dated and needs a refresh. The lodge was also dirty with utensils left un washed in the sink and dust/cobwebs on the curtain rails and corners of the rooms. Staff were really helpful though during our stay

It was a beautiful property in a great area for hiking. The free wood and the wood burning fire places were a great treat, as well as the pool and hot tub with the best view! There was no dining options on property so that meant groceries and staying in or taking the bus into town (they did provide a free bus pass!). The VIP experience gave us good credit for a few places in town that werent worth visiting if youre into more local options. Overall we were very happy with our stay at the resort in the off season.

This property had great value for the outdoor hot tub and mountain view. On arrival our room smelt like smoke. We didn’t think much of it until 11pm when we opened the bedroom door to find the living area filled with smoke. (We did not have a fire during our stay). We called the front desk and they moved us into a new room without hesitation. They mentioned there may have been an incident with the previous guest. Regardless, if there was a previous fire accident or a recurring venting issue it made for a dangerous situation with our 2 year old sleeping in that room. Not to mention all our clothing and belongings were saturated with the smell of smoke. So unfortunately, we cannot leave a high review. The second room we were moved into was much cleaner, had full and appropriate bedding and gave us the interpretation the original room we had wasn’t meant to be used by guests that night. Besides that unfortunate situation, we enjoyed our stay, used the hot tubs and had nothing but pleasant interactions with all staff.

Suite was very well equipped. And had plenty of linens, towels, extra pillows. Comfy beds. Kitchen well stocked. Dated furnishings-Carpet was old and stained. A bit rough around the edges. But overall had a comfortable one night stay.

We have been to the property a number of times and we have enjoyed ourselves every time. My only critique is that this time we found that there was alot of garbage in the treeline surrounding the property. I realize that it is windy up there, but this is a beautiful location and it should be something that the staff watches for in my opinion.
