“Staying at the Plaka”
This hotel was great. In a good position for visiting central Athens and with fantastic views from the roof top terrace. The manager was friendly and helpful which enhanced our stay. The only slight downside was the third bed added to our room for our daughter. She felt that it wasn't very comfortable. Overall we would highly recommend staying at the Plaka.
“Plaka Pleasure”
This was our second stay at this thoroughly efficient yet layed-backed hotel resulting in a very relaxing time. Staff are very pleasant and always keen to help. There is a wonderful view of the Acropolis from the roof, an asset which could perhaps be expanded upon. No one could fail to enjoy their stay at the Plaka.
“Plaka's Best View”
Decent hotel for the price, great roof top bar!
“Great location and value.”
Convenient for transport, sightseeing, shopping and eating. Excellent breakfast and free coffee available during day. Adequate room and facilities, comfortable beds and good storage. Roof terrace views amazing. Good value. Would definitely recommend.
“Clean, Comfortable, and Convenient Location.”
Easy to find, helpful reception staff, they organised a great walking tour for us. Our room was comfortable, with a safe. The Hotel rooftop was awesome, with nice chairs, and the drinks were good value for money.
“Excellent hotel to visit ancient sites”
This hotel was a great spot for us, especially considering we had never been to Athens before. The location was fantastic and made it very easy to walk to all the ancient archaeological sites that we wanted to visit. It was also very close to tons of restaurants and shops. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is good, and the rooftop bar has a breathtaking view of the acropolis. Overall, it is a great spot to stay in Athens.
“great free b'fast; terrific staff; extraordinary view”
The Plaka Hotel is a great place to stay in Athens. The view of the Acropolis from the totally open-air, rooftop bar cannot be matched---especially at night. The room was excellent; the showers were (get this!) the BEST we'd ever seen. In fact, we took a PICTURE of them. The Plaka's complimentary breakfast was a yummy start to our day. The Plaka staff was just super. And the location provided an easy walk to shops and restaurants. In fact, we walked to the Acropolis from the hotel. We'd definitely recommend this to anyone---and we HAVE done so already to several people who are planning trips to Greece.
“emptynesters”
Athens was on strike and this hotel did everything it possibly could to be helpful. Very Very nice staff, beautiful room on a corner with two huge windows. GREAT bathroom with a really strong showerhead. Great location. Tons of restaurants and tavernas right around the corner. The best we have stayed in in Europe. Would absolutely go back. They responded to all emails promptly and could not have been nicer in a very stressful situation.
“Plaka Hotel in the heart of historical Athens”
Great location and good value for money hotel. Superb terrace facing the ACROPOLIS. The location more than compensate the oldish style of the rooms.
“A nice hotel with good view and convenient location”
Great location. Good breakfast. Cafe open till 5pm with free coffee is excellent for those who need space for writing/reading. Room & bathroom is not big but adequate for any couple. Would be better if hotel can provide all day free WiFi instead of 25mins for each booking.
