“Convenient location in the centre of Athens”

I normally stay with friends in Athens & know the city well, but needed somewhere convenient to stay between arriving on a flight & ferry the next day. I found the hotel very conveniently located within Plaka, close to the central shopping & restaurant areas. I was traveling alone & the single room was small, but clean. Probably not somewhere to stay if you were on an extended trip, or planned on spending large amounts of time in your hotel room, but if you just need somewhere to sleep at a good price then it's ideal.

“3 star hotel in great location”

I would rate this hotel as 3 star overall. The location was great in central Athens, within walking distance to all the major sites, staff were friendly, however the room was small, the drain in the bathroom overflowed into the rest of the bathroom when using the shower and it didn't have nice to haves such as breakfast (although wifi was free). Good value for the price though and I would reccommend staying here if on a budget.

“more a pension than a hotel”

The Kimon hotel is inexpensive, well located and rather clean. I was traveling alone so I asked for a single room, they gave me room number 13, which is the size of a closet(ok, a bit bigger) but extremely small. Next day I changed to a double room and it was fine but the WC was not clean. In general, the hotel is perfect if you are going to spend most of your time out. You can reach it easily from the airport by bus or metro, you get off at Syntagma Square and then just walk. The stuff at the hotel is nice and helpful but there are not elevators and no one to help you with your suitcase. The hotel does not offer even breakfast but there is a cafeteria right across the street where you can have fresh orange juice, coffee and a sandwich for very little. Andrianous street is only around the corner, and from there you can walk and shop all kind of greek products and souvenirs, also eat, until you reach the Acropolis.
