We went fron itsly to skiing in aspen, The staff and hotel are good, great breakfast!
“Dog Friendly Aspen”
We go to Aspen for a weekend every year at this time, to get a break from work and enjoy the changing colors. Bringing Charlie the dog is a must. There are a handful of hotels in Aspen that welcome dogs, but this is the only one that won't break the bank. We have stayed here several times and never had a bad stay. Request a room with a balcony. Breakfast is included and comes with make-it-yourself waffles.
“Affordable Aspen”
Although we stayed for four nights in midsummer and so have no idea how it goes here come wintertime, we were impressed by every facet of this experience. We arrived late in the evening on bicycles, having ridden from Glenwood Springs, and were well taken care of by the desk clerk and subsequently by the other two members of the staff with whom we interacted. The breakfast, while not exactly sumptuous, was a cut above, say, a Super 8's, and the location made for easy walking or riding to all major routes & attractions including downtown. I don't know if it would be noisy if you had a room on the highway; ours faced the back of the property, and except for one morning when the dumpsters were emptied oh so early, it was very quiet. We were allowed to keep our bicycles in the room -- the rack out back was full and besides looked a little bit sketchy -- and we did not abuse this privilege. All in all, I'd go back.
“Very good hotel - location, breakfast, apres-ski. Will definitely go back.”
First time at Aspen was a fantastic experience, made better by a very comfortable hotel. Nice room with very adequate facilities. Good towels & toiletries, dressing gowns supplied. Microwave, fridge, coffee-maker, TV in room. Only downside was a noisy heating system - so keep off if you want to sleep. More than happy with continental breakfast & apres-ski wine, cheeses etc. Dining area with fire is cosy enough to sit & make friends. Plenty of info about the area, helpful staff, internet use, free ski shuttle a block & half away. Shops & restaurants etc only about 10 mins walk away & beautiful scenery too! Will definitely go back next ski season if we can!!
“Will be returning soon”
Located in the heart of downtown Aspen and with free bus service there is no need to drive. Just park and enjoy! While rated 2.5 stars this newly renovated hotel will work for most people on a budget. A light Continental breakfast in the morning and a light wine and cheese and chips and salsa in the evening make this hotel an enjoyable stay. Location, location, location. A must stay if you are economically inclined and well worth every penny!
“Very nice”
Overall great, the room is slightly noisy when someone is taking a shower. The breakfast is very good. Just to know, there is no hotel shuttle to/from airport and it is about $20 one way. The hotel is about 8 mins to downtown area.
“Summer in Aspen”
The Aspen Mountain Lodge was awsome. The people were nice, the hotel was quiet, everything was within walking distance. Go to Maroon Bells, it's worth the trip.
“Terrific lodge! Welcoming, cozy, super continental breakfast, quiet. Will definitly go back.”
We really liked the lodge. The service was terrific, they accomodated our last minute requests, it was quiet, cozy and welcoming. The continental breakfast was terrific. It was a bit of a walk to Aspen Mountain, but worth it. Will definitly go back when in town.
“Terrific value for Aspen”
This was a lovely inn, and really reasonably priced, considering that everything in Aspen is so expensive. The room was very pleasant, the complimentary breakfast was good, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the location is good.
“Great hotel for the money in Aspen!”
After shopping around, this hotel was one of the most competitively priced in Aspen for the off-season. The service was great, staff really friendly and helpful, and room comfortable. It was less than a 10 minute walk to downtown. The continental breakfast was really awesome, too. A great getaway if you're planning to go to Aspen!
