" Myself and 2 cousins stayed here for one night when we went to San Juan Island. Our room was on the second floor and had 2 queen beds. The mattresses were comfortable but the sheets were a bit stiff and scratchy. The room and all the common areas were very clean. The bathroom was very small, just enough room for the toilet and shower, with the sink actually in the room. (I’ve never understood this arrangement. It’s inconvenient in my opinion.) There were lots of Knick knacks in the lobby area giving the place a kitschy, homey vibe. There was also a cookie jar with chocolate chip cookies for the taking near the front desk; a nice touch. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The continental breakfast was adequate. There’s no elevator in the building so if you have trouble with stairs be sure to request a first floor room. "

"I have stayed here a number of times in the last two years and I find the employees very polite, professional, & friendly and requests are always taken care of. The location is good and the area is quiet. I'm very impressed with this hotel and grateful there is one in Bellingham, which is a beautiful town."

"I love the rooms at Anaco Bay Inn and stay here often. I particularly love the comfortable, roomy space with fireplace and kitchen. I often cook myself breakfast and love having the option. The only thing I wish they would update are bedding and beds"
