The property website provide a deceptive vision of the hotel. This certainly was not and should not be considered a 4 star hotel. We reserved a sea view room, while we had a view of the sea the room was tiny and the interior was subpar. There was a wedding held during our stay and remnants of candy and ribbon left on the lobby floor the next morning. Not the experience expected in Anacapri. Very disappointed.

Reservation in weeks ahead Checked in an expensive ‘Deluxe Suite’ ca. 11.00 am (Beautiful panoramic view, large, luxurious spa tub, No restaurant open; no bar open; and no walk (safe) to food At ca. 15.00, began a excessive, VERY, LOUD music that began of a bass vibrating the walls and floors (sound check) with no prior warning/announcement of event When we were asked; “it will be a party this evening from tonight” (!!) (I was/am DEAF, and even I cannot think or talk it was so loud) We asked at desk, and were moved to second room Moved to highest room The new room was significantly Smaller than the original room The new room had NO bath/soaker tub, which was a part of my decision to choose this room, instead the new room had only a cramped shower Upstairs had no lift which was an issue as I have physical deficits and difficulty walking Constructed with a small piece of plywood for the platform above the steps NO emergency egress available for emergency or fire escape Due to my (recent) HEART issue, I cannot walk upstairs When tried to discuss with person assisting (no tub, etc.), he rolled his eyes and using his arms and facial expression he made an “insulting gesture that indicated-don’t know.., don't care” We were unable for food with walkable (busy, dangerous, road) The LOUD music began ca 19.00, and played MORE than 12 noon There was no desk available without called (bell) Breakfast was WORST food I travel for 6 weeks in Europe in MULTIPLE hotels This food at Hotel

We stayed here for our mini-moon. The room was spacious, clean and an absolutely amazing view. Balcony was large and nice seating with a lovely morning sun. The bathroom had a tub with jets which was a lovely addition. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but very clean and the breakfast, though basic, was good enough. The staff were lovely at check in and the bar staff were accommodating. The restaurant by the pool served lovely food and drinks. The pool area isn’t great, grassy/muddy area, uncomfortable loungers and it’s open to the public so LOTS of families, very busy area. I think we probably could have worked this out if we dug deeper when we booked so not a complaint as such, just a warning for couples who want to relax in the future! Really short walk to Anacapri, and a great free port shuttle service. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

DO NOT BOOK! Please do not make the same mistake as I did. I read the bad reviews and I did not think it is going to be so bad. The hotel is stuck into 60’s. The state of the hotel is deplorable: cleaning is very poor, rooms are shabby and dirty and with appliances not working or a hazard of coming off the walls. Staff attitude is awful. It is going to spoil your holiday. The only good thing about the hotel that I can mention is the location, a beautiful spot in Anacapri. So please do not make the same mistake as I did and book elsewhere.

Terrible hotel! I had beg bugs. Nice people at reception. The best was the shuttle driver. Hopefully we don’t have bugs in our luggage 😡😡

The room was not the one in the pictures Some of the staff was not cortldial The cleaning employee's did not replace the shampoo or the bed sheet.Was not views at all and the door that take ouside the balcony was broken and ,never was fixed like promised NOT WORTH THE MONEY THAT WE PAY .I will return to the BELLAVISTA HOTEL right across, much better and more cordial employee's

The staff and hotel were nice but this was not a relaxing stay at all. There was no central air in room and we had to leave doors open and all night long we heard the noises from th street. It made for a very exhausting trip.

This is a beautiful property, with beautiful views. The staff were incredibly friendly as well, which is always nice. The hotel is just a quick walk to town too, which made things great for us. The complimentary breakfast was good.

The hotel is definitely within walking distance to Annacapri. I was there during the last two weeks of their season so the hotel restaurant was open only for breakfast so walking into town was necessary for other meals, but there were several to choose from at all times of the day. The pool was beautiful, the hotel clean, a full all continents breakfast to make my stay very comfortable.

The view and the outside of this property are beatiful. The staff is fine, the location is really tricky. Taxi services are crazy expensive. Nobody helps with your luggage. There was no AC in my room so I had to sleep with the window upended and got eaten by bugs. It was extremely noisy as well. No Stebbins to detail here. It's like a traveler lodge. The beds were so uncomfy. Rock hard. There was a big party at the pool when I stayed so I definitely didn't get any daytime relaxation

Lovely Hotel, Lacking Staff
For a family run business on one of the most beautiful islands on the world, the staff is not seem to happy, friendly, or accommodating, especially for a four star hotel. The location and the hotel themselves are fabulous. The hotel had old world glamour and charm and my room was lovely with a fabulous view, but trying to coordinate rides, room service, even just asking questions was like pulling teeth to get any help. It was like the my looked at me like I had two heads for being a tourist and wanting some help and information. When I checked in the lady was lovely, but the men, rude. I had two suitcases. There were four able bodied men at reception, not one of them offered to help with my luggage, especially since the elevator only goes up to 3rd floor and o had to carry my bags up narrow-ish stairs to my room on the 4th floor. That being said the room was old, needs some updating, but the views cannot be beat. I tried to call reception and room service many times and no one answered either phone. Maybe it was because I’m not Italian. I love Italy and Italians, but like anywhere, people can be rude. It’s just strange, for livelihood that runs on tourism and prowl spending money if you do a good job, that they were so aloof.

The outside of the property is beautiful, but the inside is quite outdated and dirty. On arrival, the staff was less than helpful and seemed almost annoyed during check-in. That being said, the more we saw them over the week the friendlier they got. The hotel has two perks. First, the breakfast is always fresh and the servers are extremely kind. Second, they offer a shuttle down to the docks for your departure. If you are looking for a good location with an ok room, this is the place for you. If you are looking for luxury you may need to find a different hotel.

Always love this hotel for the view. The experience has to do with the room you get. We had 405 which is one of the best but you pay for it. Food at the pool is amazing. We had a round bed which was very comfortable. We stay at this hotel also because it is an easy walk to AnaCapri.

Our stay was great, the location is phenomenal, truly harder to get a better view on the island. The hotel is beautiful and classy with a fantastic brunch. There is a convenient bus stop just outside the hotel to take you to the marina, capri, or other stops in Anacapri. The family was very nice to us, and upgraded our room for free! To be completely honest, there was a little trouble at the end due to booking through Hotels.com, but that seemed to be largely due to the internet being down due to a large storm the night of our stay. I would definitely stay here again!!

We love Hotel San Michele! Our room & view was perfect! The best view we ever had from a Hotel room. The hotel is an absolute beauty, just some areas need updating. Simple but lovely
The views are incredible, mostly in Anacapri you can’t see the ocean but from here you can. The pool is nice, it feels a little like a community pool but the bar & restaurant is full service and provides towels and loungers for a fee. Breakfast with a view of Marina Grande & Mount Vesuvius in the background is memorable.

Amazing hotel
Beautiful hotel in a lovely location. Very relaxing. The swimming pool is huge and well serviced. You have great views everywhere and the shuttle from the ferry is very convenient.
