“Great place to stay in Ames”

“ISU Orientation Weekend”

We had a nice stay here. The only thing that bugged me, was that when I checked in the clerk said, "have a great stay". And then, I walked thru with my bags & such three times, she said the same thing to me. This place has a good breakfast buffet with a nice variety, or you could have breakfast made to order.

“Comfortable, hassle-free place with nice people.”

Very comfortable place with a good breakfast. Convenient to Iowa State University. People who work there are friendly and helpful. It's always a pleasure to stay there.

“Hidden Gem in Ames”

Our daughter's team traveled to Ames, IA for a basketball tournament. The staff was very well organized in laying down the rules for the girls regarding running in the halls, food, etc. There were no issues the entire weekend - it was great. Most of the staff was very out-going and helpful, except for the chef who patroled the pool area and hallways enforcing every rule on parents and players alike. Additionally, I had booked on-line and the hotel was having issues with breakfast purchased on-line. But they stood behind it and comped my meals anyway - despite being able to see those records on-line. This area was close enough to campus and also convenient for highway access. If we had another tournament in Ames, we'd stay there in a heartbeat.
