"The Tonito Hotel is the ONLY place to even consider staying in Uyuni! The hotel is truly an oasis in the salt desert! Chris and his team are top notch: very accommodating, friendly, helpful & just great people!! The restaurant (Minuteman Pizza) is EXCELLENT for both dinner & breakfast! The owners of the hotel are constantly on hand and are extremely active to ensure all their guests are happy! "

"Someone obviously put a lot of care into building this place and in cultivating the gardens and grounds, it's really lovely. The concierge, Ricardo goes above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating, he's wonderful. Having said that, he's also a bit short staffed so things are a bit untidy-the gardens need attention, the lobby isn't always picked up but the beauty and tranquility of the location and the pleasant but simple rooms make it worthwhile. "Location was good, but everything is really close in Uyuni. Allowed a late check in after coming in on a late bus. Rooms were clean but the bed had a lot of long dark hairs in the sheets. Rooms were quite noisy but nothing earplugs couldn’t fix. Breakfast was better than expected: buns, queso, mortadella, cereals, juice, tea/coffee. Make sure to ask for eggs as they will cook for you, but only if you ask."
