Amazing Hotel
We had a little problem with the check in but everything else was amazing! We booked a late check in (1am) and was told this was fine just ring the bell or call the number. So we sat outside the Hotel ringing the bell and phoning the number but no-one answered. Fortunately there was another number on the Hotels.com app which we called and even though we woke up a previous employee, he was very helpful and contacted the Director. Once in we were blown away with the service and comfort of the property. The staff couldn't do enough for us and were very apologetic about the mess up with the check in. Breakfast was delightful and massive! All served at your table with champagne, fresh orange juice and tea or coffee. Selection of cured meats and cheeses with fresh bread rolls(a variety), cooked eggs, a traditional Nata and freshly cooked Croissants. The room we had was very nicely decorated and a large comfortable bed. Super quick internet which is unusual in a hotel and a TV with Netflix! We had a balcony on our room which topped it off so we could enjoy some sunshine with a glass of wine. On thing we found a little surprising is the balcony is a joint balcony with one other room which we felt could be sectioned off. Location wise it is ideally suited for those who want everything on your doorstep and easy to walk down to a restaurant or for a cocktail or 2! All in all we loved Villa Origens and will be definitely coming back next year.

Absolutely perfect place to stay and we will return! Great location, yummy breakfast, staff are second to none, like staying in your own oasis… beautiful. We lounged by the pool, slept so well on comfy beds and no noise, conversed with the staff and Rui, the Manager, was so friendly. The 6 of us agreed it was our favourite stay on our long journey and would recommend this place to all travellers!

Fantastic Hotel
Not only is the hotel itself beautiful, with a lot of attention to detail, the staff is also wonderful! Paulo was extremely kind and welcoming. He went the extra mile of making up a breakfast to go bag for us since we would be missing breakfast our first morning there due to an early tour. Make sure not to miss their breakfasts though. They are delicious and come with a large amount of food as well as juices, coffee and champagne if you want it. It is also centrally located enough to travel many places on foot, but far enough away from the nightlife area of town that you can still get a good nights rest. Overall, my husband and I were extremely happy with our stay here.

Torn as a couple of things let it down from being
First impressions when the large wooden gates open are wow!! Like, wow! The manager showed us round with enthusiasm and pride and then to our room which he advised was an upgrade as they'd just finished two new rooms with us being the second occupants of it. This wasn't in the main building and was across the street closer to the main square. Our room was fabulous, really big, exceptionally comfortable bed, must be super king so nice and spacious. Shower was pretty good. When he said it was an upgrade this came in the form of the outdoor area. When you go onto the balcony this is in fact a terrace with steps down to a good sized pool that you share with only one other room so practically a private pool. Then beneath the room is a steam room and BBQ. So if you and another couple book both rooms you could have an amazing time. My problem is that despite having the aircon as low as possible it was roasting, mainly due to the duvet being thick enough for winter, then the noise, we were there three nights and the first night once we closed the patio doors couldn't hear anything, second not ght by about 1am we couldn't hear anything but the Friday night and it was loud till 3-4am. Not sure if being in the main building would be quieter as all the reviews I'd read prior were complimentary. Last thing, the breakfast is outstanding, they bring everything Inc champagne to you and it was delicious. So I'm torn, I'd cope with the warmth, not the noise
