"For the very reasoable cost , Hilda's exceeded expectations.Basic rooms were spotless....breakfast came with fruit...kitchen available if required. Hilda and Brian enjoyed people and were amazingly helpful .They researched places for us to go, ordered ubers, gave directions and were lovely to talk to. At 73, I wasn't sure I could do the very low cost thing any more, but I would certainly go back .Extremely handy for coming and going from the San Jose airport ."

Hotel Mi Tierra Casa Blanca
3.0 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very good, (8)
"The owner, Gaucho (I believe) was helpful and friendly. He offered me some of his homemade dinner and set me up with a taxi early in the morning to catch my flight the next day. The location is in a quiet safe neighborhood just a few minutes walk from downtown Alajuela. The house is modern and has his modern Art throughout the home. The upstairs rooftop balcony is a treat and offers great views. Very hospitable experience which I enjoyed and would love coming back again."
