"The hospitality at the Waterstone is top notch. We were greeted by Charmaine, who got us settled and made sure everything was taken care of on our arrival. The next morning we had breakfast out in the garden and pool area. Everything was fresh and delicious, in beautiful surroundings. Load shedding hit during breakfast hours, but Charmaine managed to keep the kitchen running and no one went without hot coffee or toast! Definitely a well run operation. "Wir hatten ein paar wunderschöne Tage. Der Ausblick ist unglaublich und das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns gefühlt wie zu Hause - nur viel schöner. Wir haben abends immer vor Ort gegessen. Das essen war sehr lecker und ein super Ausgleich zu den fine dining Optionen die es sonst in der Umgebung gibt. Wir hatten immer einen frischen Salat aus dem eigenen Garten der Farm zudem hatten wir unterschiedliche Gerichte wie eine Lasagne mit pulled beef, eine Spinat Ricotta Lasagne und Cicken...

"Stunning bedroom views from this lodge and exceptional service and kind attitude from Shannon ! Food was also great. It’s an older lodge that has been upgraded with excellent bathroom fixtures and main bedroom lighting. Wifi is a little slow, early morning hot water taps need to run a bit before hot water arrives and the sliding partition in our room 2 needs to be replaced with a frosted glass door as the current wooden sliding partition is a little stiff to open . Otherwise an excellent choice...

"A true gem. This is my new go-to place for the first (and second) night in Cape Town. Most international flights arrive in the early morning and commercial downtown hotels do not let you check in before 3 pm. Most of us are exhausted. So make your way to Franschhoek against traffic and stop at some wineries on the way. Then rest at La Fontaine. Many fine restaurants within 0.5 miles. Lovely breakfast and exceptional service."

"The lodge is situated amongs the wineyards and is really a pleasure to stay at. Rooms are great, bathrooms has everything you require and the bed is very comfartable. You even get a bottle of red wine when you enter your room complimentary from the owners."
