Don’t use the recommended car service from the hotel as it was 3 x more expensive than an Uber. "Nuwerus was one of the "fortunate" yet "unfortunate" places in Paarl that was "hit" hard with the recent fires. It was so close to the main buildings that I can only descibe it as hair-raising. Yet although you can see the fire damage to the gardens etc the service was once again spot-on and the facilities as clean and well appointed as we are used to. The owners really does care about the customers as well as the property. Well done is all I can say. Already booked my next stay."
