Staff were very helpful. Rooms were beautiful and comfortable.

This hotel is kind of funky, but then again so is Portland. In fact, the population takes great pride in being weird and they live up to their reputation. The staff was absolutely lovely. They were accommodating, helpful, cheerful and professional. The rather large outdoor sitting area, complete with tables, lounge chairs and several fire pits was a very nice amenity. However, the room that we stayed in was super small and cramped. There was not enough surface space for a coffee maker and little did I know that one could request one until I overheard another guest ask for one at the front desk, there was no ice machine, you needed to ask for ice at the front desk, and the only microwave was in the hallway. These were not deluxe accommodations by any means, but then again, the price was right and the hotel was ideally located. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience.
