I didn’t like the dinner options. The waits were too long and the dinner options were not great. The food was not very good or authentic. This is Cabo to eat dinner at 6pm and have to wait an hour and a half and the restaurant is empty is insane.

Such a wonderful resort and the staff was so so sweet! The food is delicious and the views are spectacular

We selected the Secrets resort because of the adults only tag and it seemed like it had a lot to offer. We are frequently in Cozumel but usually stay in the neighborhood. Unfortunately what we thought would be special was disappointing. Our swim-out room was ideally situated but the room itself was beat up. The headboard was busted, air conditioner leaked water on the floor, the bathroom sink was stopped up the entire stay and our call for repair was never met. Our cleaning person never left enough towels or washcloths. We had to call every day for either towels or washcloths. One day we waited over an hour. The cleaning people DID congregate outside of room every morning - early. Talking loud and banging carts and such. The restaurants for Secrets were not impressive at all so we decided pay for access to the Dreams side of the resort for more variety. For what we paid, it was extremely disappointing. The food in this resort is bland. Curry chicken with no curry sauce! Dishes that say a side of vegetables and deliver a few pieces of lettuce, a sliver of onion and a couple grape tomatoes. We went into town the last two nights to have dinner. A worker found out it was our wedding anniversary and signed us up for breakfast in our room. When my husband went to confirm it, they asked if he had our marriage license to confirm! What??! Who carries that document around?? We had a wonderful poolside game coordinator (Jerry) but that is about the only positive thing about Secrets.

“I stayed at the JW Marriott Cancun with my family in July, and we loved it. Everything was exceptional, and the resort felt safe the whole time. My kids had a great time. My only complaint is that there’s no kids club, which would have made it perfect for families. Other than that, I have nothing but good things to say, and we’ll definitely be back!”

I love diving with Scubado which has great dive masters (Gabrielle). I also love the food and the first question they ask is if anyone has food allergies! I love how nice everyone is and the Cabanas. We always have a perfect vacation when we come here and continue every year or every other year. IHG card is helpful when it comes to points to get a free couple nights.
