The Met Hotel Leeds - Newly Refurbished

"Stunning building. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice touch having cans of still water in the fridge and a little bottle of fresh milk for the coffee and tea. Shower was easy to operate and towels were a generous size. Extractor fan turned on automatically once you are near the bathroom area. Breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. Everything was so fresh and cooked to perfection. Scrambled eggs were delicious and fluffy. Coffee was from a machine that was self operated but it was a lovey cup of good coffee. Nice mix of hot breakfast staples, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, granola, fruit compote, fruit juices and pastries. Evening meal was delicious. Great fish and chips, just bring your own tartare sauce. One thing to note: You will be given two card keys in a wallet for your room. You need these for the lift but if both are tapped together on the reader inside the lift, it doesn’t work. Use one card at a time out of the wallet given. Have a wonderful stay. We did."

"Hotel and room were clean. Some scuff marks on corridor paintwork and doors. Other guest were noisy and a lot of traffic noise if you leave the window open. Breakfast good choice but hot meal a little cold and my sausages were undercooked. However plenty of choice. Staff seemed a little disorganized but we're pleasant and helpful. Parking was good at £4 per day. Location excellent to AI and M62 so easy access when leaving. Short taxi ride into town and fairs excellent."
